Monaco is always a terrible race but this one especially. Ferrari had no reason to bring Kimi in so much earlier than Seb other than they knew the overcut would gain him the lead with Kimi coming out of the pits into traffic and Seb with clear air. It's as clear as clear can be.

Seb was always gonna pass Kimi though when he was going to the pit..

If they had qualified the other way around there's no way Ferrari would have pitted Seb first.

I'd make a quite confident prediction that Honda won't power a winning car with these engine regulations. They're an absolute mess. Poor Sauber.

I'd love to see alonso in a top car again, I suppose in theory he could go to Mercedes or Ferrari next year but I doubt either want to pair him with another superstar

I could see Alonso heading Stateside for a season and wait for the perfect seat to be available.

A driver of his majestic standard should not be schlepping around at the back of the field because of such poor equipment.

I have more sympathy for Vandoorne as Alonso is an absolute master and is getting every possible tenth of a second out of that terrible mclaren. Stroll and Palmer are nowhere near good enough though.
