Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Lets bring in Bully, Keith Downing and John Richards must be good for 10 mins off the bench. We are now signing players for being likeable ffs? We want the club to act like a serious football team again and we're saying that - not Raul, he just wouldn't come
You’re being silly.

But if the manager doesn't play them, not so much. Rob sacked in October and uses Not My Fault 101 "the club signed players i said no to" then Nath sees that easy win gone and seen as no better than Jeff or Jez.
Why wouldn’t he play them when they’re better than what’s here?

Not every signing needs to be 100% about performance on the pitch. You need a certain amount of character and leadership in a squad and we've less than none at the mo. In that sense, I don't have a problem with it.

My point is more using ex players as an easy win rather than a transfer strategy (stop laughing at the back because I said strategy after transfer).

Nuno rejected better players than he had btw

I have missed watching players that want to play for Wolves and give everything when they pull on the shirt.

Coady, Saiss, Boly etc would give us all of that as an absolute minimum.

Past their bests - absolutely - but give me any of them over Angel fucking “weak as piss” Gomes, every day of the week.

A forward line of Sasa, Raul and Armstrong could be ok if very fragile.

Beautiful news. I'm not in on Coady or Saiss but Raul is still performing at such a high level. I wouldn't want to rely on solely him or even him and Armstrong for 46 games but it would be and absolutely brilliant singing at Championship level.

I haven't watched enough of Fulham to know if it's a good idea or not tbh, but even if it just works out ok then I'm happy

Going to be a few retirement leagues offering him silly money #excuseinearly

That's why I've previously said it'll never happen. So one of 2 things needs to be true or maybe both a) he really wants to come b) we're paying money to a player in the Championship no side should do.

He loves the club and the city and is undoubtedly a very rich man so maybe he will choose happiness and comfort over just money

His reception today will have done no harm

Im going with he wants to come and by saying they are in talks puts pressure on the club to meet his demands and please the fans or risk missing out and making them even angrier
