Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

If true, then can only imagine they haven't watched any of the football he's played for Wolves. I'd gladly swap him for a net of old balls, so going to assume this €15m is just fanciful nonsense.
Tony Cascarino once moved clubs for the fee of....16 tracksuits.

@Jinky being called up to the Harlem Globetrotters is much more believable than someone actually wanting to pay actual money for Tchatchoua

I want to be an EPL scout. You can pretty much do nothing but play FM, give a list of names, and agents make transfers for clubs regardless.

It’s the Italian equivalent of managers over here thinking they can utilise Traore’s pace and unlock his potential. His pace means they overlook any deficiencies in his game which is basically everything. Even his pace is rarely been used to good effect other than occasionally making covering tackles.

Tchatoucha has used his fabled pace less often than I have used my degree in Art History

It's becoming more and more obvious that there is no such thing as scouts and scouting any longer...

Who to sign? He's younger than Usain Bolt, but probably not as good at playing football. His supposed pace just means he gets out of position that little bit quicker.

No wonder Italy no longer qualify World Cups when Serie A is having players like him!

Meh. He obviously played well enough in Italy before to earn a move here. Their scouts will see he’s featured 30+ times in the PL for us this season, was alright in Italy before, he’s quick and has attributes that they could make use of, so is worth a punt. Plenty of better players have moved to England from that league, failed, gone back and had perfectly fine careers.

All that said, I personally think he’s up there with one of the worst players I’ve ever seen put on a Wolves shirt and any kind of money offered for him should be snapped up.

Ruben Neves, N'Diaye and Saiss last time we were in that league.

Next season Doyle, Bellegarde and Traore...

Ive no issue with Doyle coming back and being used as a squad option. My concern is he will first choice and we will build our midfield around him.

That first choice scenario is precisely in line with the way the club is run. I expect exactly that, not least as they can rely on Liam Keen and Talking Wolves to come round to the idea that this is solid thinking, and all we can fairly expect after all.

You can't have season ticket reductions and still expect the club to compete.

Whilst ignoring the parachute payments.

If so wim fucked, buckle up for a period of midtable mediocrity (at best)

Tommy Doyle did a job at Man City when called upon because he was surrounded by superstars.

He’s looked ok here a couple of times too, he passes nicely - the major problem is that he majorly flawed in that he has absolutely no pace and is physically weak for a central midfielder.

With all the shit in our squad that he’d have to play alongside, he’d look even worse.

He made 1 appearance for City. Did well at Sheffield United which I think was why we signed him.
