Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I'll not edit that on the proviso that we don't get a TWF special of 5 pages worth of puns

£1m on Shabani
£1m on Matheson
£1m on Ronan
£500k on Dadashov

£0 return.

Money well spent 🤪

Meh, you only need one to work out. Mir did.

Ronan was nowhere near £1m btw. Closer to 10% of that.

We signed ronan at 15 so doubt we paid much for him?

We'll make money on Campana as well. It's peripheral in the grand scheme of things, never going to make or lose a lot and you hope to hit on the odd Kilman. It's only when people over egg the prospect like some did on here with Matheson that things go out of perspective.

I would add you are supposed to sign players for the first team as well

I see where you're going with this but any income a club receives for the transfer of a playing asset is classed as one contract.

It's only 50% of the economic rights sold and we have a 20% sell on 100% of them.

I may well be wrong but it wouldn't make any sense for them to be able to sell 50% of the rights and we just have to accept our 20% on that. In the same way we get a slice if Goncalves, id assume we would get that for Trincao.

Not sure what people were expecting with the Trincao one, the reaction is weird.

- We signed a player, he was expensive
- He was shit
- We should now get a load of money from Barcelona after he's gone?

He was just a rubbish signing, like hundreds of others we've made over the years and every club makes.

We just shouldn't have agreed to the stupid payment without it being reciprocated in the Adama one. Of course, by the time we let Adama go there it was too late and we were already over a barrel. Very poor by our recruitment wonks.

I've got no issues at all with cheap punts of the like of Shabani, Matheson etc. One of them even half working out pays off, and if you end up with one that's even a decent rotation option in the PL you've saved yourself ten mill or so. There's an excitement to them too, and at least they give @Sedgley Wolf something to do. Same when you step it up a notch to the £2-5m brackets with the likes of yerson and Chiqinho, I'm all for it. But all that needs to be supplemental to signings of immediate first team pedigree. It's fucking mad that last week we celebrated the five year anniversary of our our last first-team-ready centre back ffs. Bastard mad.

Not any more it isn't that isn't allowed. It's now sale with guaranteed option buy back

Believing that we've sent them there so they progress, and we go on to buy them back and flip for profit is so much Stockholm Syndrome that I reckon the WHO will be getting involved
