Pinged Wolves an email after seeing a tweet about season ticket waiting lists - my youngest has been on the list for 2.5 years. When I signed him up he was about 11,000, he's now under 5,000. Either we've dished out a load of new season tickets or people are not renewing. In either case Wolves should be concerned.

Is that the seat number element?

I'm now under 5000 also, fairly sure I was higher than that previously.

Edit: scrap that, I've just found where it tells you. Apparently I'm 1722 in the list.

I was 5090 when I got the email ages ago, now I'm 2241

I assume if you're offered one but don't accept, you get shunted to the back of the list?

Just had the email, position 3500.

Not bad, maybe a season or two which would suite me tbf

I don't recall seeing an email about the waiting list before, but apparently I was 5150, now I'm 2286.

I'm not asking this to be an arse about attendance, but out of those who are on the list if they get the opportunity this summer will they buy a season ticket?

A scenario whereby we finish this season mid table, no extended cup run, increased prices and the possibility of Neves and Moutinho departing in the summer would mean IMO that a fair few won't renew.

I'd imagine in that instance for many potential new or existing sth's it'll come down to price.

I won't renew if I feel I'm having the piss taken out of me, even though really it'll be me who misses out as someone will replace me.

The traditional renewal window is before any signings or sales are likely, which is another factor

I'm seriously considering my position re ST.
If there was someone to share the cost. and the ticket, it might be worthwhile but I'm just not getting to as many games as I want so a financial hit with massive increase in outlay will probably make me give mine up.

I don't think I'm renewing at this point.

I'm going to have missed 4 games soon. Possibly could become 5 by the end of the season so I will have to look at is as it's probably not good value when you can get tickets reasonably easily without the ST.

£629 behind the goals for 'new' applicants this season.

I can't see the renewal price being below that and it's taking the piss in my book. Two successive hikes that are completely unjustifiable.

If the quick straw poll above is anything to go by, those on the list will have a decision to make.

Its a bad couple of years for a number of reasons and my commitments mean I have very little free time, that aside I have 2 boys who are very eager to attend games and having a ST would help prioritise getting to the games. I would have to review how much it will cost obviously and what I am getting for my money.

As an aside my Wigan ST landed today, £320 for me and £32 each for my lads for tickets on the Halfway line, just shows how far football has left other sports behind in pricing.

I had to have a proper think about it for this season and I'll probably have to again in the summer.

I'd be properly gutted to have to give it up, I do most away games as well so it's a huge part of my life when you think about it, pretty much every weekend committing a whole day to following Wolves. They're just on the verge of pricing me out, the greedy cunts.

If I was offered one, I'd probably take it because honestly, if I didn't do it now, I have no idea when I'd get the chance again. I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I can afford it, but I would probably get it with the expectation that there would still be a number of games I wouldn't be able to attend due to other commitments. My Mrs works every other Saturday, for example, and on those days I'm left to look after our two young children. I know we don't play on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm every week, but that will definitely have an impact on how many games I can attend.

That said, I think I know enough people who could have the seat for most games where I can't make it myself; so for me, it would be worth it to know I have a guaranteed seat.

How does it work in terms of, lets say I get a ST and have an assigned seat by myself. What if I want to get a mate a ticket and want to sit next to them (or them to me)? Or if I want to start taking my daughter with me? Can I move the seat to somewhere where there are two seats together? Or is it just pot luck? Or am I just stuck by myself?

I'm probably not renewing this year.

If Wolves do put up the prices then they are reading the room badly. By the time the ticket prices are announced people will be a few months into seeing the NI rise, fuel prices etc wiping out disposable income.

I want to remain a STH but being priced out of it. I only renewed this season because of the rebate from the Covid season.

That's where I am too.

I have always dreamed of having a ST one day. However I fear the incoming increases are likely to price me out.

I have other commitments right at the start and end of the season, meaning there is the risk of a couple of potential conflicts in august and april/may.

But the biggest factor is the price. I am on the waiting list (under 1000 now - I rather suspect a lot of people have cancelled memberships). However last year, owing to us only having 1 wage coming in for 2 years I almost had to cancel my membership and come off the waiting list. Thankfully, mrs jelly has now got a job, so I didn't cancel, but her earnings are 50% of her pre-redundancy wage. We're not struggling, but we have to take care with luxury items.

At a push, I could have afforded a ticket this season. But the rumoured price increases mean I probably wouldn't, and tbh I am considering dropping the membership, as it is mainly the potential ST that I have it for.

I'd actually been thinking that an arrangement with an existing holder to share would be the only practical way.

I rather suspect that I might have got a ST for one season, just to acknowledge a lifelong dream.

I have been exceptionally lucky to have friends who have, for the past 6-7 seasons allowed me to be their substitute. There is no way I would have attended anywhere near as many games as I have without those friends.

However in lockdown, I realised that what I missed wasn't so much the live football (though I still love it whenever the opportunity arises), but I really, really missed my friends and the social contact with them. And in honesty, that is more likely to be the main reason I would get a ST now.
