Opening ceremony about to start before festivities begin with the hosts against Russia.

Really looking forward to New Zealand v South Africa tomorrow, and Australia v Fiji and France v Argentina should be crackers as well.

Oddly looking forward to Japan / Russia, should be an exciting game.

Very disappointed I won't be able to watch the firs England game, especially as we are putting out a very strong team.

Suspect it might be two weeks down the line before we know where teams are.

Not the best of starts for Japan, look as nervous as a teenager on their first ever date.

Coming into the game now, but on this showing Japan will have to improve a lot to even be competitive against Ireland or Scotland

Russia did better than I thought they would esp. after losing to Jersey, but what does that say about Japan?

They did what they needed to. Going to struggle to beat Ireland or Scotland though.

Last couple of minutes of that half showed Australia how to win. Go through the phases and keep carrying close to the rucks. If they keep flinging it wide they are playing into Fijian hands. Fiji have to be the most exciting side in world rugby to watch. Its just bonkers.

Australia have been far too frantic. If you try and play sevens against Fiji you are asking to lose. Bringing a cool head on like Genia should help their cause.

They’ll still win this, whilst Fiji exciting to watch discipline is always a big problem. Classic case just being picking the ball up in front of the knock on.

Going to be a yellow card for Fiji soon for persistent infringement.

Sensible by the Wallabies to use the rolling maul there. If Fiji bring it down they are down to 14 men so try was the lesser evil at that moment.

And there is the all too predictable yellow card.

Australia should now pull away, but they have been given one hell of a fright

They’ll get nowhere near winning it, think their chances have way over inflated by that freak result against NZ.

Bonus point for Australia.

Looking at this, I fancy Wales to beat them (even with my personal bias).

Well that was bloody entertaining. I expect France v Argentina to be a very different style of match, but pretty close. I think the French will win by 5 points, and I don't think they will get a bonus point.
