Notlob (A) Buildup 21/4/18

Sky Sports showing the 10/11 Premier League season review and shown Zubars through ball to Sturridge at Bolton.

Good grief. I don't think the rage I associate with that goal will ever subside.
I was following that game on BBC text as I was down the pub at a pool match but I can still remember where I was! Don't think I've ever been as gutted following on text!

They won the Intertoto Cup 12 years ago...

Oh well that explains it then. I now understand why all Newcastle fans talk about the team like they are European champions...

I was at a party with some Brazilians. It was around winter wasn't it? I remember it being snowy in town. Was following the game on a laptop in the corner, didn't speak for 20 mins after that goal, people wondered what was wrong as I was fine before that.

Late January.

I'd got a moody stream and I was fucking moody for about four days after that. Stupid prick. I hated Zubar and with good cause, he was a bloody idiot.

Last time I went there was the Zubar match. Next time is Saturday.

I think you'll be safe from anything like that happening this time unless Saiss actually falls asleep, rather than figuratively

No Cav or Benno tomorrow.

Danny's swansong then. I'd play Hause on the left, Boly on the right though.

Reckon Batth will get the gig - as much of a concession to him as 'Club Captain' as anything else

It's Bolton so not the worst game to play him in

It still pisses me off.

Like I say, an idiot. Didn't look AND passed it a ridiculous distance off his weaker foot, when the easy option at 0-0 on 91 minutes is to just thump it down the line if you're stuck for ideas.

Yep my first thought too Danny's goodbye.

Might not be a bad game for him against the classic shithouse Championship forward(s) is his bread and butter. Leave Ameobi to Boly.

Thanks .. I’d forgotten how sick that pass made me feel!

I imagine Batth will come in for Bennett (can't see him switching Boly across to accomodate Hause and Miranda appears to be well down the pecking order).
Front three picks itself; Jota-Afobe-Costa. Hopefully MGW gets a run out for a good half hour or so.

Poor Zubes. Never seen a player before or since have such a wide margin between his good days and bad days (albeit it was 1 good one for every 9 bad, and that's being generous).

Think only really good bit I saw him play was the goal he created against West Ham (I think) - not sure that he had any sort of footballing brain

Yeah West Ham away was his best game. His goal was Carlos Alberto-esque.

He certainly needed an exact alignment of the planets to have one of his good days.
