He would've cleared it if the defender hadn't nutted it at him from 2 yards away.

You can't proportion blame absolutely in those situations unless you know what communication has gone on between them.
There's no way that isn't Johnstones fault.

Without knowing who has said what to one another you can't say it's anything other than a joint error.

Johnstone doesn't really need to come when the defender is comfortably getting there first but then the defender is looking straight at his own goal so can see what he's doing the whole time yet still plays a pass he shouldn't.

It’s the keepers fault!! At no point should Johnson come for that. The defender is under no pressure and has a simple nod to the keeper.

There’s one player on the pitch who can see everything and it’s not the guy heading it. The defender needs to be told what to do, and the simple command to “nod it back” it the answer. If the keeper has shouted “keepers” then he is still in the wrong for making a dreadful call.

Absolutely correct. Agree 100%.

I also cannot actually fathom how utterly abominable the football played by the shit is. They are ghastly.

There is absolutely no need for Johnstone to be outside his area.

I can't even see what kind of communication exonerates the keeper in that situation. Even if the defender has called the keeper to come and head it for some reason, the keeper should still be working out what the best thing for him to do is.

The keeper can see all the field. He can see where the oncoming forward is. The backtracking defender cannot. The keeper has to take command of the situation.

He may well have done by shouting that it's his ball, we don't know. It would still be a bad call on his part but if that's what happened then the defender only has two choices, leave it for the keeper and let him live or die by his call or he has to take matters into his own hands and get rid completely.

Johnstone is at fault regardless, but depending on what's been said I can't have him down as solely responsible, as was the first claim.

He should have advanced to the edge of the area and asked Kipre to head it back into his hands

Jesus Christ! Cristiano just applauded a misplaced pass, you've seen it all now folks.

Normal service resumed there as the chance to break from a corner results in a Newcastle throw on half way. For once I agree with big ol' C Ron on that complaint though, Rashford is playing wank.

Poor penalty by Salah and a worse follow up

I've got the Leicester v Liverpool game on in the background: the commentator keeps mentioning some country hotel in West Yorkshire which is confusing me.

What a weird team Leicester have become this season.
