Live Match Discussion 2018/19

Shooting practice at the moment for Chelsea.

Christensen taking blocking lessons from Benno.

At least Cech might get some consolation as old Bobby Vasage wants to give him one. Making a couple of saves you'd expect a keeper with over 100 international caps to make, sound like Banks against Brasil and Montgomery for Sunderland against Leeds.

Fair play to Eden there. Handled that interview very well.

Fucking hell - the way this twat is badgering Hazard is out of order. Concentrate on the game rather than trying to grab some tabloid-esque exclusive.

Sarri going to get sacked (or leave by mutual consent) despite finishing 3rd, lose to City on pens and win Europa league despite also only having about 15 days pre season to work i with the players beforehand. Not bad really

Özil is a fucking disgrace. A scandal of a footballer these days.

Arsenal's defence is mid-table Championship standard. Better team first half and didn't take advantage then they just can't keep teams out.

Because Sparta Prague go into the group stage so there is one fewer side with a higher coefficient in the playoff stage where we are right on the cusp of being seeded or not. If Chelsea win tonight and Rapid Vienna win the Austrian playoff by my calculations we won't be seeded and could get Roma, Eintracht Frankfurt, etc etc.

But it means an en extra loser from the CL qualifier gets chucked in who could also have a higher coefficient (PSV/Brugge/Plzen etc.)

Guess we will just have to see

This is my combined Wolves, Arsenal 11 in the system that both sides sort of play if everyone is fit. I've tried hard to not be biased:
-------------------Patricio------------
-----Bennett----Coady-----Boly
Bellerin---Torriera--Neves---Monreal
----------------Moutinho-----------
---------Augbameyang------Lacazette

6-5 to Wolves and I've been very generous at wing back and to Lacazette.

Don't think Nacho Nacho Man could play LWB these days, his legs are fading. He's been at LCB all season.

I do like Laca but is he better than Jota...dunno.

I'd have Lacazette before Aubamayeng, think he's a much better all rounder even if he would rival Patricio in the 'face like a smacked arse' competition.

No way Monreal is getting in at wingback either, does nothing going forwards at all, wouldn't even have him above Jonny as a fullback.

As I said, I was trying to be generous, Monreal has played the left of a 3 since Xmas, not seen enough of him to say whether his legs have gone or not, he could get up and down back in the day and I can't put Kolasinac there. Put Jonny in at left wing back and Jota up top and we'd be at 8-3 and even then Donck and Doherty can feel aggrieved.

They're gettable, no two ways about it. I don't mind Emery but without decent funding they're going backwards.

They are definitely the ones we can get at. Compare it to a can be arsed United.

---------------------De Gea-------------
-------Lindelof------Coady-------Boly-----
----Dalat----Pogba----Neves----Jonny
--------------------Moutinho---------------
--------Lukaku---------Rashford-----

6-5 to them but the emphasis is heavily on can be arsed and the formation comparison isn't like for like

Fair enough

I like Ian Darke's commentary. None of the OTT rubbish that you get with many today.
He's a legend in American footballing circles. Will be forever loved for his call of Donovan's goal against Algeria in South Africa.
