I am in the process of getting rid of clothes from my bulging wardrobe and drawers and will donate several England and Wolves shirts. I have given up on getting back to 11 stone LOL unfortunately (Katy cider is directly responsible for this)

General clothes donation to africa etc probably does more harm than good (football kits aside) - it has destroyed local cotton & textile industries and reduces tax revenue as most is sold informally.

Yes, but most farms in africa are small semi-subsistence farms (or massive commercial farms owned by chinese or Afrikaans) - EU subsidies or not they will still farm.

Textiles were, once, a really booming easily scaleable local industry providing much needed formal employment (and hence tax revenue to governments) - second hand clothes have destroyed that.
