Just how good were/was/is/are (Wolves Edition)

I think the mods need to come up with an official forum policy on the spelling of non/knob and nob/nobhead.

Personally I'm a nobhead.
I've always been a knob although I've never been entirely sure if I'm spelling it right!

Reading Frank Skinner's book and seeing him say nob repeatedly first sowed the seeds of doubt in my mind.

It's not because he doesn't support the political party I favour. I don't even know which political party I favour, I just really, really hate the Tories.

I didn't intend to make it into a big deal. He tweets a load of shite on twitter and comes across as a right prick because of his views which makes it difficult for me to look on his time here fondly. I'm entitled to not like somebody because of their views.

Of course you can, but that is the dictionary definition of bigotry and you don't see the irony ?

To be fair there’s quite a big difference between an arrogant nob like Henry and a raving fascist like Di Canio.

He's ruined any affection I had left for him (wasn't much after the last two seasons he played in) with his politics :icon_lol:

But at the time, I was a fan of his even if he did have limitations. Interesting listening to the OldGold podcast, all the players seemed to be of the opinion that he had the ability but wasn't allowed/chose not to express himself more on the pitch.

Also when he got media attention as a 'hard man' he seemed to buy into it a bit too much I felt, which was a shame as he was more than that.

It's a special person who lets someone politics get in the way of their thinking.

I personally could not care less about someones Political view, I base everyone on what they do.

Viewing someone based on a political View, is as bad as basing someone on the colour of their skin.

Everyone has different viewpoints, the world.would be a nightmare if we all thought the same.

I am very Centre political there is a website you answer questions about your political viewpoint I am slap banging the middle, yet I dont care if someone is a raging Socialist, BNP supporter, or an Antifa terrorist, I view them on why they have would do in there games for us, and that includes a certain cunt from Northern Ireland.

My experience tells me that the Left have far less respect for other peoples views than the right.

The Right like Di Canio used to be described as Facists, now the left follow all the traits of fascists a lot more than the right ever do

Yeah don’t think I’m going to be taking advice from your fine self on this one thanks

Dont give a fuck your milk are everything that's wrong with the world today, there is no respect for difference points of views.

The reason the Cenotaph was vandalised by scum is a total lack.of respect

So to clarify, you are having a go at me for having “no respect for different points of views” by swearing at me for essentially having a different point of view to you?

I didn’t rewrite history about Henry’s time here, all I said was I’d lost affection for him. Why are people like you so easily offended?

This is a really disgraceful comment by the way, I’m ashamed to share a forum with someone like you

Did someone move the political centre while I was asleep?

Well this thread escalated quickly.
I was enjoying the discussion on knob vs nob. I'm team Knob if that helps?

Also, Henry - I never liked him as a player and I was never really sure what he did for us. However he was an integral part of the team that won the Championship so I guess I'll just have to accept I'm probably wrong.

I've always been a knobber rather than a nob kind of person.

I also prefer bollocks over bolloxs but appreciate each to their own.

Knob or nob are both poor relations imo, prick is much more effective....and no ambiguity with the spelling

So we've made the leap from Karl Henry to knob, seems fair
