January 2020 transfer window

Isn't everyone after Sander Berge? I thought he was very much flavour of the month.

That's right, pick on the one club where your point doesn't make you look like a bloody idiot. However, they have been on the Premier League gravy train since 2013. Three times as long as we have, so even there your point looks idiotic.

Everton in 11th have more depth too.
Southampton, well we can comment after Saturday
Brighton , nope they also lack depth.

Sobtwo out of the top 12 one of theme us and only us is in the last 32 of the Europa league. I don't know why we are arguing. You've said we need three signings.

Should we have got Cenk Tosun on loan?

Why?

What's this take your frustration on the lack of signings out on Cyber week?

Nuno said we would strengthen in January. The club said the same so far we haven't.

See the signature.

We are arguing because your point is utterly stupid on every bloody level. I am not denying that they have greater depth. I am telling you the reason. We have had one season of monster money. They have all had (bar Palace) every year of monster money since 1992. Dear me. If you can't see that I don't know what I can say to assist you with understanding the point that you are talking arse.

Dunno - only player Palace have signed this window, just maybe????

(Incidentally, the comments aimed at him during the match on here were a joke. The fuck do people watch)

Absolutely baffling alright, I was amazed when I read that. I genuinely wonder what people are watching when they come to those conclusions.

I thought Neto played well until the goal.

Just an aside, but Kodija is leaving Villa for a payday in the Middle East, it's almost like you don't have to automatically keep a striker who isn't trusted because you don't have a recognised striker much less one of the better ones in the league ;)

I hate this "depth" talk btw. We don't want tons of players sitting around at Compton doing nothing in case the sky falls in. We've made this abundantly clear.

Pretty sure we could recall Connor Ronan now to cover at least three positions and I like the boy, but the manager doesn't fancy him so there we are.

I don't generally look at my phone/PC during the game much whether I'm at Molineux or at home/my Dad's/the pub for the away fixtures. But as we didn't bother with a verdict thread (again) I saw the lot last night when I got in.

Christ alive.

I think it was just Jinky and he was called out on it. Everyone else said he played well

It was only Jinky don't worry about it :)

Thanks Puntswolf you speed typing dick !!! :icon_biggrin:

In terms of players we've previously been linked to (however accurately) Soumare seems to be getting linked quite heavily to Chelsea/Man U (can't see either of those happening tbh but what do I know) and Milan have apparently had a bid accepted for Dani Olmo.

Putting aside the veracity of any links getting tagged to us - and there's been many, many more false than real ones - at the very least it is refreshing to get linked with, shall we say, a better calibre of player.

Probably doesn't help with people's frustrations mind. Missing out on an Olmo is a little more disappointing than missing out on, oh I dunno, Max Clayton :) But it's only missing out if we were in to begin with...

Max Clayton :icon_lol:

Had forgotten all about him. I have actually seen him for us, for about three minutes. Good work Ken on seeing what he can do.

Olmo is pushing £30m for someone playing in a very much second tier league. I like what I've seen but a risk no doubt. Not sure where he'd play for us either.

You see this has always been my opinion, people get frustrated because transfers don't happen that, stand a good chance, were never going to happen anyway, the assumption then is that nothing is being done, we aren't even bothering to look for people ! But my ultimate piss boiler (it hasn't happened on here, but I don't think it's miles away ) is when you get a sense that people would welcome failure in order to reinforce their views, the 'see, I told you so' argument.

My point is does getting Cenk Tosun on loan, as Palace have done, really add anything to your squad?

According to Spiers, those behind the scenes are confident that signings will happen.

The only time I've ever applied that is with Saunders.

And I did fucking tell you so.

But this is just daft, the manager wants players, the captain has said we need players, the chairman (is that Jeff's title?) has said we'll get players...judge it at the end. You don't walk out of a film after 40 minutes and blindly describe the end, do you. Except Titanic I suppose, I knew what was happening there.

If there aren't any signings there'll be pitch forks & torches marching down Waterloo road
