January 2020 transfer window

Not great defensively apparently. Opposition go through him like a hot knife through Buta...

Another s-lur, pak it in, he could be the toast of WV1.

We were linked with him in the summer weren't we? Long suspected that at 28 now might be the time to relieve someone of £20m for Matt Doherty

He wouldn't work for literally any other club :icon_lol:

Unless Nuno went to manage them of course.

Managers are stupid but not that stupid.

According to this we’re getting Buta...

Newcastle United look set to be beaten to the loan capture of Portuguese Aurelio Buta.
According to reports, United have scouted the Royal Antwerp right-back since the summer, but it is Nuno Espirito Santo who has stolen a march on the Magpies ahead of the January transfer window, with Wolves expected to confirm a loan, with view to a permanent deal when the winter window reopens.

Just wanted to pop on to say that he’s very good on Fifa. One of the biggest ‘prospects’ on the career mode...

See ya later.

So thats 12 signings between all clubs. Probably discount the 2 watford ones, as they're other pozzi clubs. Regardless, there isn't really a single one of those we're desperate to sign. Also, that's only 9 of the clubs, and we can see that the major activity is from those clustered in the bottom 5-6 positions of the league.

It is fundamentally not the case that all our rivals are stealing a march on us. Apart from drinkwater, I'm not sure any of the above have actually played in any games for their clubs?
I'm also confused by this notion some appear to have that a signing instantly improves the team/squad. As above, most have not played for their new clubs. We've seen our own signings frequently being coached first (with copious "ee ay a nuno signin' ") bandied around til they are brought into the matchday squad.

Shit'll happen in time. a day here or there is meaningless.

Rodwell has played in the cup. But obviously no-one would ever want him to sign for Wolves so...

For those knocking the young kids coming in, Neto was seen as a Mendes ringer and a waste of money what, five months ago? Looks alright to me.

(Incidentally, the comments aimed at him during the match on here were a joke. The fuck do people watch)

Knew someone would know for sure! So my point stands, there hasn't been a huge influx of players into the premier league, and further, all these signings aren't yet in the team yet, even those signed on 1/1/20!

Plus, all other clubs have players leaving. Only villa and palace have no players going out (yet).

I suppose the difference is those teams don’t have the ridiculously small squad that we do.
I think if we can get one quality forward in the next two weeks we’ll be alright. Assuming Boly comes back ok it frees up donk and/or Saiss to cover midfield and if Jota isn’t out too long having one more player to help out the front 3 is probably enough.

Again the point is being missed.

All the current top ten bar Sheffield have a bigger squad than us with greater depth.

Same website says we are competing with Newcastle for Lucas Vázquez

Well, you would sort of expect that to be the case with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Leicester City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal. You are including Crystal Palace, and I am not actually convinced you are right there.

Moaning that established Sky Six members and a team that were in the Champions League while we were just back into the Championship have bigger squads and more depth is a total bloody nonsense. OF FUCKING COURSE THEY DO.

And last time I looked palace weren't in the last 32 of the Europa league.

That's right, pick on the one club where your point doesn't make you look like a bloody idiot. However, they have been on the Premier League gravy train since 2013. Three times as long as we have, so even there your point looks idiotic.

I read today that Sander Berge is available for £18m. West Ham have supposedly dropped out of race to sign him as two other clubs have made bids - another one I wonder if we have our eye on.
