Giro d'Italia / Tour de France

I can see only two TTs, both individual? One immediately after Mont Ventoux which is 'nice'.

Yep. One is 37km and the other is about 12k but all uphill to Megeve ski station. No team time trial. No prologue time trial. I need to see the profile of the two Swiss stages as they may be brutal. A couple of the Pyreneean stages look quite tough.

I had a quick gander at the official site and there was nothing up on the stage-by-stage analysis which was frustrating. If you find anything pop a link up please. I see there are some long sections as well, over 200km - I don't think they went that far at all this year?

Froome fancies it, I can see Quintana trying to break him on Ventoux as he's not as good in the TT.

Not all the profiles are up yet. Notable climbs that are in are Tourmalet, Peyresourde, Grand Colombier, Col de la Colombiere and the Joux-Plane. A lot of new climbs as well which is interesting.

Time to resurrect. The Giro has been superb so far. Nibali in deep shit on the ITT up a bloody great mountain. Superb race.

I have just turned it on. Understand Contador has had a nasty fall.

Cav in yellow, Yes! Nasty crash in the sprint though.

Lol, soz Pad. half a sec behind you there.

Was a very good day. One of my favourite events the tour. Contador walloped the central reservation pretty hard and had to have his shoulder taped up, they did it without taking the rest of his jersey off too. Which was odd as it was half skin half jersey and done at about 30k's an hour!!

Cav was ace but he owes the big Norweigen ex-Sky man for his lead out, that man's a beast.

That's him. Left SKY to have a chance at a Grand Tour if I remember rightly.

I'm really excited for this your as it could be one of the best.

He ended up getting a great lead out from Sagan as well, definitely the right wheel to be on. First time he's ever beaten Kittel in a straight dragrace I think.

There are some truly brilliant stages to look forward to.

Mont Ventoux (obvs) is going to be brilliant, but I think the stage into Andorra and the one finishing at the Emsson Dam look amazing.

Cracking stage today. Felt sorry for the bloke in the break who got caught with 500 metres to go.

Contador and Porte both lost quite a bit of time. Good news for Chris Froome.

I listened to a Contador interview this morning and am surprised he finished the stage today. He had no sleep last night and sounded completely demoralised. I don't know if any posters have seen the video of the fall, that was taken from someone's mobile telephone? He really hit the curb very hard. How he got on his bike today, is a credit to his bravery. I doubt he will finish the tour.
