General Wolves News

Sounds like Bueno is injured. Is there any word on the likely severity? Sorry if I missed this elsewhere.

Strain after about 15mins against Southampton, but not bad enough to have to come off. Didn't play for Uruguay in their first game as a precaution but joined up. Dawson also has one. Neither expected to miss Fulham.

Edit also not playing tonight.

I wonder if there are potentially a few injuries being managed? Andre seems to be carrying a knock too - Brazil were debating sending him back to us early.

The good news is IF Dawson & Santi are out, we have loads of quality options at the back to play in their place...

Our reduced allocation at West Ham has gone to general sale.
Thanks for the heads up on that. My lad can’t get to many games at the moment and has let his membership lapse, so to go together it’s general sale and convenient times/dates only. Just picked up 2 right near the back so it’ll be a binoculars job, but anyway, not expecting too much will just be good to get together for a match again. Feels like it’s been a while.

Monday night, on Sky, 2 weeks prior to xmas, east London on a school night and we’re shit.
Just about every factor to stop you from being able or wanting to attend.

It's also a disgrace of an away end. Much closer to the Withdean experience than Arsenal or Spurs away.

Can’t comment on experience but the pictures and stories I’ve seen tell me that it’s one of few PL clubs who’s away end is worse than ours.

had an email from the club asking if I want to hire wolfie, wendy or any of the rest of the clan (wilfred?)
They're pimping out the mascots now. Is nothing sacred?

I knew we'd missed out on Gyökeres to Sporting, but I just assumed it was us being tight. Turns out, like most things, it was all Jeff's fault.

Apologies if this was already widely known, I don't remember it.

"Portuguese media explained how Sporting ‘took advantage’ of Wolves in the moment to secure Gyokeres’ signature.

The reason why Wolves failed to sign the striker is due to Jeff Shi being out of the country.

It was claimed that Wolves had presented the ‘best offer’ for the player but, the deal dragged at the finalisation stage due to Shi not being around to release the funds.

Sporting saw a gap and signed the forward, who has since scored 66 goals in 67 appearances for the Lions."

Was surprised to see that the much lauded Brighton production line allowed him to go to Coventry for 1m.

Not true though is it. When he went to Sporting our only two signings were Doherty and King. We weren't spending anything until Nunes left.

What I think happened is a deal was agreed at the end of the season or thereabouts. Shi went to China for his end of season meeting, during which Fosun made another of their changes to funding decisions which was to sell anything which wasn't nailed down and the deal fell through.

I hate Shi as much as the next person, but cba to release the funds doesn't ring true and neither would he have to be in the UK in person to sign some Children in Need style cheque

The flip was made before then. Lop the Strop was moaning about it before the season ended.
