I don't get the Pod hate, he's trying to make things happen when he gets the ball
Exactly. Adama isn’t the answer to the problem. The answer is to get the team further up the pitch and have the midfield two and wing backs actually support the front three in breaking in to the box and playing through Palace rather than just passing it to Neto or Podence and expecting them to run 40 odd yards with the ball every time. Wing backs are essential for this to work and neither have been good enough.

We look good on the ball defensively and in the middle of the pitch but painfully poor in passing and movement in the final third. Our front three are still miles too far apart from each other too often. We badly need to make 4-2-3-1 work defensively as we need the extra attacker.
I have no idea what you’re watching, we’ve been dreadful in the middle of the pitch, barely a forward pass.

Bit harsh mate, wasn't a classic but we haven't been awful, think Tredman's appraisal is about right
I suppose what your definition of awful is. I watch football hoping to be entertained. In that regard we are truly awful. I haven't enjoyed watching us play for weeks. We are boring and not getting results, a lethal combination...

more players in the box and we will win this..easy

On the bright side, Kilman and Boly are having cracking games.

dare to win for once ffs

like i have said many, many times before if you attack and press the other team fall back a little and dont dare as much..like a timeglass really

We are just so slow at releasing the forward pass then go backwards. It is very frustrating.

Semedo with a nice bit of movement then, looks inside and there’s absolutely no one to pass to. Both Moutinho and Donk trotting up the pitch 10 yards behind him.

We have to find a ‘solution’ to the central midfield. We need an actual attacking midfielder in there who’s first instinct is to look to play forward quickly, rather than Donk.

Seems like we rarely try the long diagonals anymore. Not sure if it's a matter of personnel or tactical

why backwards all the time
