Crystal Palace 3-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Agree with a lot of your post Lycan, but oher than a crap ball into Gomes, I'm not sure what Sa did wrong today?

There was a good save from Eze free kick, very good save low to his left and he claimed well 3 or 4 times off corners and crosses.

How many times have you seen him do that exact same mistake? He's a liability.

He was lucky today, it's cost him numerous times in the past and will in the future. He's not capable of playing the way we want him to.

I can't think of a goal we've conceded that has come directly from Sa losing possession? Correct me if I'm wrong?

Also, Gomes did ask for it, Sa should make a better decision though obviously.

There are countless errors from keepers in every game, look at Pope yesterday? The goal we scored against Pickford last week, Onana, Ramsdale, keepers are making errors all over the place.

Agreed. However, it’s testament to GON’s management of change that, without any personal improvement and while making the same mistakes, he’s rapidly being overtaken in the ‘most urgent things to resolve’ stakes. A list the next crisis manager will be the first to deal with.

He does it all the time! Appalling with the ball at his feet and even worse when he has to come off his line to deal with through balls.

It doesn't matter whether Gomes was asking for it or not, he was being closed down. It was a ridiculous mistake to make. Hospital pass.

We kept a clean sheet last week so what was the thinking behind swapping the left back? Bueno is better than RAN defensively, there's a reason Lopetegui played Bueno and even Toti in the position over RAN, no idea why he's suddenly jumped back in to being first choice left back.

If he does it all the time why can't I think or you give a few examples of goals we've conceded that have come from his poor distribution? He's played around 80 games for us?

He gives me kittens at times, but until we actually concede goals from it it's way down the list of issues, particularly when he was MOTM last week and that error aside one of our best performers today.

Thoughts on "Neves replacement" Gomes today?

Caught in possession 2 or 3 times, most notably by Eze that lead to his standard booking, passing poor, one good run in the first half then a terrible shot. No real impact on the game at all.

I know he's young, I know he has ability, but he's way off playing week in week out for me.

Yeah thought he didn't have a good game today, should have come off for Bouba when Lemina was running out of gas.

Brighton away at the end of last season, numerous times, they scored and Welbeck recieved a pass from Sa on the edge of the box

Like Sarabia, Cunha up front with Silva in behind and Neto on the right he's being played in the wrong role by an out of depth manager.

He's a box to box midfielder or a deep lying ball winner not as Lycan pointed out a playmaker. We don't have one of those anymore.

Not sure who coined the phrase but we are Ball Carrying FC at the moment.

As true as this is....don't fucking give him the ball when we are being pressed or have at least 1opposing forward looking at him. It's a huge weak point yet 3 managers have stuck with this tactic.
Either sign a keeper that can play this way or fuck it off.

Disappointing. 3 individual mistakes turn a comfortable 2-0 win into a 3-2 loss.
I'll do my best but I don't think I can hold off the cyber hordes heading your way...

I'll be offline rewatching the tactical masterclass we just saw from The Bromley Guardiola. Hopefully catch up on my correspondence tomorrow.

Yeah, defences stood down (Kilman stylee)

Did it once against Man City away last year.
