Boxing thread

Bellew is a natural cruiser, and should have moved up years ago. I've met him and he's huge, how he made 12 and a half stone I do not know.

Haye needs to put his career first and stop fighting bums. He could get out a lot faster between fights but chooses not to.
 
It's a tough one, as you said a page or so back cruiser is a bit of a nothing division so where do you go.

I didn't see the undercard last night but apparently Price looked decent. Never going to put questions about his chin away but I'd like him to get a title shot at some point, cracking to watch when he's firing.
 
I may have been a little harsh on the division, it's a hell of an achievement.

I think being the newest division doesn't give it the history of many of the others, but Bellew could be one to give it the exposure

That is just not right. But then its not right for golfers or tennis players but it happens. I suppose all athletes are professional in one way or another. I know that the concern in boxing is that there is too much power in the organisations and not enough in the boxing control board so maybe they think this way they get some of that back ( as the Olympics comes under board rules)

A shame really, just like Khan he's took a mismatch to rake in the money. I get it, I don't blame him it's just a bit disappointing on a sporting level. The difference is he will still have a title to go back to at Welterweight
 
I'm all for keeping sport drug free, and strictly so. Can't say I'm too happy about the Lizzie Armitage situation. But these samples were taken a year and a half ago. Surely things must be sorted out a lot quicker..?

Fury-Klitschko cancelled as Big Fat Tyson is "medically unfit". I don't think he'll fight again.
 
Will end up having his titles stripped. I was looking forward to the fight but he literally throwing it away.
