Doesn't play well with who though? It's not what she says it how she says it - even the Turkey thing was with such supreme confidence. The blue rinses will love her because it'll remind them of their icon. Her biggest obstacle imo is getting to the last 2, I think she'll wallop Sunak if she does. Only thing going against her is Johnson doesn't like her, but Sunak loses there aswell

I disagree with pretty much all Tory party members but they aren't as ridiculous as you paint them.

You said earlier that they all still loved Boris, they absolutely do not.

She can't just outright lie about shit and she has nothing behind her at all. No achievements at all.
 
Yes but it was "priced in" with him (no, I don't understand either. He's just a horrible twat but there we are)

She is a nobody in the grand scheme of things.

You showed an approval rating slide that's not the same as wanting him gone. I either know people who are unrepresentative as a whole or you underestimate the general feeling in the rank and file. I doubt he's a member but look at Glasgo's 'it was just because he's Boris' post from earlier this week. Where would your money be?
 
They're literally Conservative members. How unrepresentative do you think that is of a Conservative members vote?

The idiots you hear on Five Live etc (for balance) and Glasgo(w) clattering in like Frank Spencer probably don't even vote.

I just don't think Penny Mordaunt is someone the Conservative Party will mobilise behind as so far she's er, done nothing and said nothing. Unless you count this.

It's not about Sunak, it's about being the opposition to him. 2 none white candidates would be like the Women's Institute Little Britain sketch to their membership. Badenoch has the momentum, but surely it'd have to be Truss with promises of high office for the other 2?
 
I think that Morondaunt beats Sunak in a last 3 vote.
