Shows how naive, stupid and arrogant we are to think we can do what Brentford and Brighton do but without the tools that are essential to making it work. It's clear that we want to move towards a self-sustaining model, but it's infuriating that there are actual, real-life examples of this being...
Leicester only scored 10 goals between December and May. They were quite bad.
Did Costa not come in and contribute towards our survival? Also, Costa had been out of contract for a while and clearly wasn't fully fit. Vardy has 3 goal involvements in his last 3 PL games, which were 3 months ago.
I don't see how someone who scored 9 goals in a relegated side in the PL can be classed as legs gone. If he'd scored that pen against us he'd have scored as many as Evanilson, Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Gakpo.
We could really do with someone who can come on late in games and run in behind. Would...
Any idea why this guy has played 89 minutes from the bench this season in 5 games when he was the league's top scorer last season and Genk have been rubbish? Seems to be behind a guy who scored 5 in 20 in the SPL for Celtic.
Good player but never going to be creative and takes way too many touches all the time. Never moves the ball quickly or progressively enough. We hype him up but I don't really see much that he does better than a guy like Will Hughes tbh.
I don't have much against either player just seems a lot of money. Disasi might be OK in a back 3 with more protection, Fofana is coming off an injury but I think he's good and only 22. I think both improve the squad but £35m would be a more realistic fee.
Still think we should sign Vardy. He's different to JSL, local, wouldn't be expensive on a short deal. Sure people will say he's finished but 9 goals last season in that side is perfectly acceptable - after Cunha and JSL out next top scorer was our left-back with 4, and he scored more than Beto...
2 in 9 in Turkey but only 282 minutes, then injured his knee or thigh depending on source and needed an operation. Would be a good, cheap alternative to JSL. Agreed should have signed him when we ended up playing Fraser, got outmanoeuvred by Burnley instead.
