Away in the Peaks for a few days. Dancing Duck Brewery, ‘22’, brewed in Derby by a female brewer.
Not sure why or even if that’s relevant but anyway, an exceptional beer.
The investment companies wouldn’t touch anyone not meeting the affordability criteria initially. I’m assuming they would evict rather than be accepting of someone whose circumstances changed and needed housing benefit, although a) I’m not sure how they would do that without the option of S21...
Back to rentals, Section 21 etc..
Been talking to one or two people recently and looks like S21 evictions are showing signs of being significantly higher this year than the 49% increase seen in 2023, ahead of the 2024 Landlord reform act and 2025 EPC regs.
Offloaded property has little...
Thought Spurs gave it a fair go and can’t see how Arsenal could feel let down by that. Thought the fans were pretty vocal tbf and the intrinsic desire to see their team win was much stronger than any compensatory knowledge they’d hurt Arsenal in defeat. The roar when Son went through and groan...
Blagged a free ticket for a first time visit to WHL.
Not a lot in it, if City don’t step it up looks like 0-0 to me.
What a game for spurs to decide they finally want to keep a clean sheet.
I’ve just watched that and found it incredibly moving. I didn’t notice that straight away when posted, which upon reflection is quite telling. I’m in a very happy place at the moment and so the MH thread dropped off the radar a little bit. Reading back some of my previous posts it sometimes...
Yes, and I think the new circuits are designed to give another level of spectator experience, a sort of day-long social event offering more than just the race itself. That’s going to be pretty important if they want people paying top dollar to watch cars whooshing past fully electric.
Interesting to see where this eventually ends up. Not been to Formula E and did look at tickets for 21st July but am away. Pretty sure the scalextric feel would be a big no-no as the sound is a huge part of what sets the emotion at F1, but if that’s the future we might have to get used to it.
Definitely feels like F1 is doing everything it can to alienate the traditionalists like myself, increasingly struggling with a connection here.
I dunno, Silverstone tickets starting at £309 for basic trackside on race day too. Was in Stowe grandstand pre-Covid for about £140. Grandstands are...
Still a balmy evening here, only just come in from the garden. Dunno if we’re going to be missing it altogether or if coming later but it sounds like in some areas it’s a real shocker.
I was knackered and asleep by 10.30, woke up to see a load of Whatapp messages telling everyone to get outside and have a look and lots of pictures.
Absolutely gutted I missed it. This was from a friend just up the road in Sutton:
You can dress that up a number of ways.
There will be plenty who say they might have got the Tory government they deserved, but in Starmer are about to get the Tory government they wanted.
Mike Williamson’s MK Dons play Crawley in the Div 2 play off 1st leg tonight.
I’ve family who are MK Dons STH’s (I know, I know) so keep an eye out what’s happening there. Williamson did a very tidy job at Gateshead and is doing a very similar thing at MK.
Slipping a bit under the radar...
That’s just a load of Tory-rag crap to make existing home owners feel a Tory government would see them creaming it in for being sat at home doing nothing.
It doesn’t talk about the affects on the housing crisis, what rents are predicted to do in the next four years or how those rises will push...
