Understand the point made, though Villa aren’t the first team to play like this against Chelsea and Chelsea struggle. I thought Maresca set them up well (okay perhaps not solely for Neto’s benefit)
Isn’t it funny how if you play to Neto’s strengths, he turns up. Same with any footballer, if you ask them to play a system which is new to them, they’ll struggle, but play them where they’re comfortable and see them flourish. I don’t want to say it but *maybe* credit to Maresca for spotting...
I was cautiously optimistic when Vítor got announced, yet didn’t expect this kind of turn around (both performances and results) this soon. He has got things ticking and balanced both in defence and attack. The league table is looking a lot healthier and some supposedly “easier” fixtures coming...
Vítor Pereira - thank you for giving us (at least part) of our club back.
It feels good to post again, after some personal things and have been online reading every day for the past 5 years, without logging in. Very much looking forward to getting back involved in (hopefully) healthy debates...
Taken more positives from this game than the Everton game, so not all bad. I really hope I never have to witness Bonatini in a Wolves shirt ever again. Adama is a beast and will worry defences all season, and with 2 defenders on him it frees up someone else. Neves and Moutinho still not got into...
I agree, it would be nice. However, trying to convince 4 players (all with enough quality to be starting premier league games) that it’s worth staying at Wolves to maybe not even get on the pitch, that would be tough.
No rumours surrounding him leaving though, merely just my opinion anyway mate hahaha. Suppose I’m not allowed a differing view then?! As I said, I hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see.
I think people are being ridiculously harsh on the lad, I think I will stick on the side of the professionals who are paid to make these decisions for now.
I personally think in the premier league, Traore’s pace will be priceless, whether that’s from the start of the game or for the last 30...
Would love Pepe here, absolute scenes if he signs.
As for Rojo, I think the small matter of his £160k a week wages may be a sticking point. That being said, I would take a guess that we’re paying Moutinho north of £80k a week.
Unfortunately it comes with the job. Neither are good enough for where we want to be and we can’t be sentimental about it (after all, they earn ridiculous amounts).
