The powers that be should already be thinking, and quietly approaching, our next manager by now. If they aren't, then they have not taken heed of the lessons from history.
Who next? Here's one I don't think anyone has mentioned... Roberto di Matteo. Doesn't seem to be doing anything after...
Listened on Wolves Player, after going to see the Birmingham game at St Andrews. How can it be that the same team and the same manager were involved in both games?
I could see the logic of the half time substitutions, but NOT playing 3-5-2 rather than 4-4-2. And then DOHERTY being brought on...
Listened in via Wolves Player. Too many changes.
Sounded like KMac and Price were the one glint of light out of all that. We need an experienced Centre Half to partner Batth. Fast.
I was there. North Bank. Long way away from the Coady red card incident, but the ref was persuaded by the Brighton players to call for a stretcher... very well orchestrated, you can see what they work on in training. And then... a miracle! The fouled player gets up and walks!
Never been that...
Am grateful to everyone for their contributions to the matchday thread - had to catch up on first half on the way home from a conference, although at one point I thought we'd gone 3-0 down before half time, the way some of the comments had fired across each other.
So, there's a combination of...
I listened to the match on 5Live - refreshingly better than Wolves Player, and didn't keep freezing every 5-10 mins, and didn't have to delay the vision-only picture on Sky Sports News so as to ensure the score didn't come up on there before it did on the commentary!
Anyhow, I think it was...
We should, but I fear that the weaknesses shown at the weekend will still be there, and any opponents' coach worth his salt will have worked out counter-tactics. Having Dave "The Tasmanian Devil" doing his usual walkabouts will be exploited, especially down our left...
My wife and I were there. My belief from seeing this game is you can only play two from three in terms of Afobe, Dicko and Edwards. When Edwards wandered in to the centre, either Afobe or Dicko covered for him on the wing. Potentially what KJ means by a 'fluid formation', but I'm not convinced...
I've been hoping for something to happen that will fill the gaps in the team, and as each day goes by I get more and more concerned. It's almost like the shortcomings of our new home shirt reflect what's happening with the Wolves squad. Yes, as surely as night follows day, we have a new home...
The Wednesday forum has lifted that text from the BBC... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31809734
If that was really the case, who would play Right Back? Ricketts?
In many respects, not as "Plan B" as it could have been. Clarke in the shop window (we can only hope for some smash and grab)? Doherty gets abother chance to stake a claim for left back?
At least we have Ricketts, Jacobs and Dicko on the bench...
Playoffs is my thinking as well. Some online thingy reckoned Watford (!) and Nottingham Forest to be the Top Two, with us Tenth.
This Wolves side was assembled with the Championship in mind, which is why there have been so few transfers-in at this point. I agree that we'll see a couple more...
