Palace another example of how it works for teams like us, if you have good players they’ll get taken away for big money. Olise gone, Guehi going and now maybe Anderson too. Teams sniffing around Eze and Mateta won’t last long if he continues his form from the end of last season.

The worry for me is what others have mentioned, he talks really well and has all these ideas and comes across as quite obsessive yet we looked completely unorganised defensively for most of last season and looked very easy to play through a lot of the time as well.

It’s very possible we’re in the bottom 3 after 10 games given our fixtures, I don’t think it would necessarily mean he should get sacked though depending on the context of it.

It’d be quite nice to flog Podence and Guedes as well and use the Neto money to get a new wide player and at least one centre back. Maybe a keeper too?

Chelsea are fine because they keep selling off academy players who for the most part are better than the ones they’re buying. They have something like 44 players now and still trying for Osimhen too

The good thing for Neto is they’ll give him an 8 year contract so he’s sorted even if he never stays fit

Chelsea bored of signing goalkeepers and random kids for 30m who will never play for them then. They’re an absolute basket case so I’m not even sure it’s much of a step up for him tbh

He was very special on his day. Always wonder the player he’d have been if he’d been more committed to his fitness when he was still playing. I saw a new programme of his being advertised the other day and I hadn’t quite realised the mess that his top gear crash had caused.

Considering how bad we were for a lot of his career and how tough it was for batters in that era he really was a superstar.
