I don't understand it. Surely he'd be first choice at basically all championship teams, before even thinking where he'd sit in Prem teams? Maybe we'll have to do a Wolves Forum Championship player dream team akin to our All-Time-11!

Haha, no I completely agree! Just seeing some form of identity in our team would be a start for me. It seems that the past two years we haven't had anything (bar the period after Liverpool where we'd try and counter everyone through Costa, even teams who remained sitting deep).

Forgotten! Out of interest though, what sole central midfielder do you think would clinch us promotion single-handedly?

This. He's got another year. The fans I know see him as nothing but an asset for next year, their only worry is that he'll want to move up to bigger and better things, with the mess Hull are in ownership-wise.

Many Hull City fans that I know (well, all 4-5 of them) say that whenever Huddlestone's played in the midfield 3 they've been much better. Many saying he's their best central midfielder. So he must be doing something!

People said the same about how Ben Marshall would be a crap buy, Huddlestone would undoubtedly improve us. Potentially not enough to lift the rest of the team to where we want to be, but isn't the point that we want upgrades all over the park? Why we'd turn our noses up at an obvious one because...

    Paul Lambert Leaves Wolves

Dan Jones and Jamie Reckord have been released and are available... It's ridiculous that I'm now considering the case for keeping Reckord those years ago. I just can't understand why we don't have a real left back. You'd probably have to go below the conference (probably substantially below) to...

You should watch Mason on "you know the drill", some attempts with no pressure are appalling!!

    General Wolves News

Anyone catch socceram this morning? Wolves were on "you know the drill" with JimmyBullard, all I've concluded from it is that Joe Mason can't really finish, Weimann can take the ball around the keeper really well, but not much else, and that Jordan Graham has to play next season! Some good saves...

Those two in holding midfield would result in teams literally running straight through the middle. Both decent creatively, not much guts or guile in the tackle though.

Leeds 0 - Wolves 1, how the feck did we do that verdict thread

It's been too long since I've seen someone take a decent corner consistently! (in regard to Marshall)

Leeds 0 - Wolves 1, how the feck did we do that verdict thread

I agree with Langers, Marshall has done very well since coming - proving a lot of people wrong. In the right team there's absolutely no reason that he couldn't be in a top 6 team. Certainly better than the standard of players consistently in a relegation fight.

    Brighton (H) Build-Up and Match Thread 14/4/17

While I totally agree, the instance of the goal and Coady's header straight to Hemed was nothing to do with their good possession.
