To be fair if its already taking six minutes to make a decision, maybe it wouldn't. It's odd they have that "video replay station" there only to not use it.
They seemed to completely rush VAR into action, having no idea about how to implement it effectively.
Hi mate,
I find it so highly bizarre you could take an active dislike of me, knowing nothing of me rather than my strong opinions on a topic related to football.
You know absolutely nothing about me, what I've gone through in my life, or who I am. To call me a bully is utterly bizarre...
All VAR is, is a different referees subjective opinion who isn't even in the stadium, using slow motion replays which manipulate the truth.
A lot of you don't seem to like or trust referees. Yet some stand by that more referees is the answer.
I miss the days grown-ups could agree a goal was...
If PGMOL was disbanded I would foresee the same thing arising. IFAB is just as big of a problem. Was it PGMOL who started apologising for decisions? That was insane and set an incredibly dangerous precedent.
If you think referees are incompetent and dodgy, I'm surprised you want more referee...
I'm not saying this is wrong, but I haven't seen any evidence that that was the case.
95% of fans say VAR has made attending games less enjoyable: https://thefsa.org.uk/news/survey-fans-say-they-will-attend-fewer-games-because-of-var/
I'm surprised you seem quite laissez-faire with the...
I thought it was a fair retort to finger in the air but I must have misjudged it.
I'm passionate and therefore grating and can come across as obnoxious sometimes, I get it. But I've definitely got a point. VAR is not good for the matchgoing fans.
The abuse is water off a ducks back. I've heard every dumb pro-VAR argument under the sun over the last five years. And yet, there's still problems... it's almost like it will never work!
I actually respect Wolves as a traditional old team and the fact there was a small anti-VAR protest at your...
1. The "right decision" is often subjective
2. Do you want the "right decision" at the cost of regular 5 minute delays? Because that makes you in the minority.
3. Do you believe incompetence is only an on-field referee issue? If so, you are wrong.
4. Most countries have very similar VAR...
So you want every decision to be looked at by VAR.
Not only do I disagree with you, I reckon 90% of your own support side more with my arguments than yours.
For me, the only way would be they can only intervene if there is actually a clear and obvious error. But what clear and obvious is means different things to different people.
Maybe a 60 second time limit would make things better, but still way worse than football without VAR.
It's the...
I'm willing to make a bet with you, in five years, in ten years, we will be having the exact same discussion.
VAR has been going in the UK for FIVE YEARS now and it's still a farce. Because the laws of football are down to interpretation of referees and always have been. This idea you can make...
I don't believe VAR can be fixed. It just provides different angles for referees to interpret laws which are subjective. But certainly agree it's made the game measurably worse for matchgoing supporters.
Apparently VAR today took SIX minutes to rule out a last minute winner.
The system is so broken, as a fan of a lower league club I'm supposed to dream of my club playing in the Premier League. All so I can pay outrageous ticket prices, and every time my team scores a goal wonder if it will...
I don't talk like Danny Dyer or Ray Winstone.
But I don't sound like Prince William either.
Somewhere nicely in the middle.
Anyway, VAR has to go, we all agree now right?
I'm not a cockney, to be a cockney you have to be born within the sound of Bow bells.
I'm a South Londoner. Calling a S. London man a cockney is akin to calling a man from Wolverhampton a Brummie.
I would just settle for 'smug prick' rather than go location based!
