Im in the ULEZ expansion area and my car isnt compliant. TBH we've been thinking of changing car for a while, but this is going to force our hand. We can afford it, but lots of people cannot.

We basically copied all the underlying database over, and also migrated the software to the latest version and added some add-ons that are designed to optimise the browsing perfomance.
They still do similar. Last summer we drove from London to Barmouth for a short holiday and I (entirely randomly) decided that the GW was a decent stopping off point for lunch. Even managed to agree that I'd do the first half of driving and the wife would do the post lunch stint....

OK, so the forum migration will be happening on Monday afternoon. At about 2pm the forum will be locked, we'll transfer the data over to the new hosts and then reopen the forum. The process will likely take a few hours.
The DNS system will need to be updated to point to the new host, so until...
As a random example, a couple of days ago the current hosts sent me a reminder about the imminent cutoff. And then a few hours later a 2nd email containing a bill for the next 12 months hosting....
Just to keep folk in the loop, the hosting has now been purchased and I'm just working with the new hosts to arrange migration.
Hoping to time it for about 30s after we announce that we're reappointing Dean Saunders, so things will be nice and quiet.
Oh, one more thing. We want to recognise those who contribute. But dont want a two tier forum. ive been on other forums where the notion of a 'contributing member' assigns some level of higher status. But it can be a bit corrosive. So maybe we'd look at doing something where you get some label...

Kenny has started a thread for firm commitments. Based on the numbers we're looking at, its 3 quid per person per month. Obviously if theres a surge of people willing to chip in that might drop.
