Hopefully if they were renting the council will help them find somewhere. Absolute pisser about the belongings but at least everyone was safe. Just hits home how important home insurance is, so many people don’t have it because they never use it.
Actually, if they’re renting then the landlord should have the buildings insurance, theirs would just be contents surely? Still not great when you’ve got to replace everything admittedly but at least it’s not their bricks and mortar they’ve got to replace. Small consolation on the face of it but...
What I saw was a family of five with their own valeting company, no details beyond that. There is a valeting company up there, I saw it on the map last night and the go fund me was asking people to spread the word about their business.
It’s still pissing it down today, it hasn’t stopped since I got up. The flood waters have gone but the ground has got to be absolutely saturated and with rain forecast non stop through until Tuesday morning it could cause a problem or two.
It’s gone mental again here, mad lightning and massive cracks of thunder. Like huuuuuuge. This is the longest storm ever. We’ve just ordered donuts to see if they’ve got the balls to actually deliver them
And yet another storm just rolled over. Not as big as the others but the lightning was ace. Four storms in one day, loved watching them.
EDIT: Still some cracking lightning flashes over in the distance, looks over Telford way but can’t really gauge the distance.
Another impressive storm right over us, loads of thunder and torrential hail. Our road is flooded and I’ve never seen that in the 14 years I’ve lived here. It’s pretty mad.
Just watched The Machinist again for the first time in years, I remember it being a bloody good film but it was better than I remembered. I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the best performances I’ve seen and easily Christian Bale’s best.
