He was linked previously by Gold Flag last season. Also Sa is still here and whatever value he has I presumed is gone now.
Plenty of better keepers changed clubs this season and others would have been available even at the sort of deal we seemingly wanted with Ramsdale, so there is no excuse...
I worry I am boring with this, but when Johnstone was first mentioned this was exactly what I said he was, as this is who he has always been bar the occasional game or two. Goalkeeper is the worst/weakest starting 11 position we have and it's not an area you can hide a player. It doesn't matter...
Not sure I agree with bringing Hwang on, but at least he is playing where he should play. Personally the role Larsen does is ugly and and unrewarding but feel we are worse without it.
You can't be happy with that? Stiff and inflexible reaction, we will go down conceding changes like that. It's different it it's a special strike but he has made the good stop before pointless with that.
He didn't know anything about it, but it's the sort of save he didn't make last week and he gets credit for it from me. Watched the ball, decent stance. Still 0-0.
Disagree with that Deutsch. The commentary on the highlights (whilst not always right) says "Nothing Jose Sa could do about that." On the 2nd and I think it's a very Wolves fan POV to be blaming him for the long range shots.
The Brighton game was not the Sa horror show many are claiming. Johnstone is an incredibly inflexible and slow on the ball keeper who just passed it out for a corner. There is no winning a victory here for Johnstone fans, that was beyond woeful and is not something totally surprising or out of...
My mate who goes to a lot of Villa games was surprised to hear any fans had ill will against O'Neill partly due to how supportive the fans were right up to going 2-1 down the other day, so would agree with the patience thoughts.
Given the current options I would actually go rush goalie, hope to win the kick off, put everyone up front and shout "next goal wins!" As soon as the game starts.
Positives - it might catch them off guard, even if they score it can only end 1-0.
Negatives - can't think of any.
Also whilst it didn't happen overnight. The difference between them with Hughton and then Potter was stark. Hughton was similar to O'Neill's dismissal in the sense that quite a lot of the talk was it was unfair given how he had kept them up, and what did Brighton expect etc and that they were at...
A keeper has a role in a tap in. He doesn't take a great angle in the 3rd for the reasons I stated.
Look at the Raya save from the pen or the Kelleher save off the line, tremendous reaction saves that are probably comparable to the 2nd. It's not a goal every keeper let's in.
Yeah don't get me wrong I don't feel he did well and I would already be swapping Sa back in myself but then I get I never wanted this change for him and so know people would point to that for my reason. I haven't pivoted from my thinking the people who were saying it was an upgrade, would regret...
