Some of it is likely cost, but we have seen Bournemouth and Burnley been seen as desired clubs to buy over Leeds.

By Christmas one of those will still be a Prem team regardless and one will be in a league that is notoriously difficult to get out of at times. That was my point. I get the risk with Wolves but one of them is a short term project to prop up initially.

You think Championship Leeds are a more attractive proposition to someone wanting a Prem team?

    General Wolves News

Wolves in current form are still infinitely more attractive to anyone wanting a PL team, than any team in the championship though though.

    Southampton (H) 9/11: Build-Up & Match Thread

They have to address keeper in January. They can't look at the position and stats around it and think it's anywhere near good enough.

Regardless of my dislike of him and his ability, we just can't put Johnstone back in as it's going to set back any continuity between the keeper and the defending of set pieces even further. If they are going Sa then they need to be serious about not playing the ball to him or trying to...

    O'Neil aka GONe

I am actually a fan of Morrison and feel he brings a different type of voice and journey as a pro to many pundits, but he has seen the league table hasn't he!?

    O'Neil aka GONe

This is one of the few sane places where people don't have that wistful view of the Championship thankfully. I wanted Wolves to have a 20 year run in the top league. If we go down there will be no Nuno 2.0 or Jota/Neves style signings. More likely to end up like Swansea or Stoke or the other...

    O'Neil aka GONe

Given how open we were yesterday, I feel like a better side and yesterday is another 6-2, 7-3 sort of crazy collapse like we had V Chelsea.

    O'Neil aka GONe

At the moment we are probably closer to the relegated Middlesbrough side that had some really poor elements, especially defensively, but also had Ravenelli, Emerson, Juniho, Festa, Beck and other players the other bottom sides couldn't get close to in terms of quality, than anyone else.

    O'Neil aka GONe

Not wanting to be overly personal as I don't dislike O'Neil in that manner, just want him gone for performance reasons, but we weren't in the market for a Prem quality manager either. So that quote applies to him as much as it does the players he is suggesting it about. He was given the job at...

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

Horrible ad filled site, but that's quite interesting and at least seems to be some wider acknowledgement he is doing a poor job. https://www.football365.com/news/opinion-gary-oneil-hint-deep-thinking-genius-wolves-rarely-seen-mnf-reveal

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

I get you can't run a club with the emotional investment of a fan, but probably similar to most people I start to get excited and hopeful about the league season sometime in early July and start to look forward to the return. It's now the start of November and we are still yet to see our side...

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

This is key for me. I don't think Sa was getting to the one Dawson blocked either first half as he is going the other way and tries to plant and pivot and it's clear he can't react in time.

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

There is the issue. It shouldn't be based on the next game. It needs to be viewed over the next 30 games in the first instance.

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

It's can't save him if they have any sense. Palace fans I know are annoyed with the amount of chances they have missed and how we basically scored with the first two shots we had. A point is no good for us there. You can't keep watching the way we defend and set up and thinking it's acceptable...

    Crystal Palace (H) 2/11: Build-Up & Match Thread

I thought he called too. One thing I will say, Johnstone probably doesn't come for that or is less likely to come for it. And that lack of consistency does potentially play a factor. Lack of trust and familiarity for pretty much everyone defensively that underlines some of the many issues we...

The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

The form and management set up makes me feel we are more likely to lose 2 of the next 3, than win 2 of them.

    Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

In defence of the new format I have actually really enjoyed it and watched a match (sometimes two with the staggered kickoffs) every round so far. Like others I can't remember the last time I watched the groups or enjoyed them. Where as growing up that was a highlight of the week when on ITV...

    Loan Watch 2024/2025

Given he is only 22 and fairly inexperienced. It would be better to leave Lonwijk at Huddersfield than risk messing him about again like we did previously. Granted he got injured but there was no way Grasshoppers was the correct move after how well Plymouth went. A good year of development and...
