    The R.I.P. Thread

Sad news, only recently came across his interview where he describes how he was buried alive for 3 hours in a collapsed mine. Suppose that puts missing a black into perspective.

    Societal collapse?

Err I didn't say that, all I said was 12 years ago when Ireland suffered an economic collapse (about the same time that bloke Man City signed today was young) cash became far more important to have. Actually economists do say that there should always be an element of cash in the economy. But...

    Societal collapse?

If you read it properly, I said a lot of businesses wouldn't take cards so you had to keep cash on you. I was there but you obviously know fucking better

    Societal collapse?

Having lived through an economic collapse 15yrs ago, can tell you at one stage you had to have cash on you as some business would only take that, it kept the economy turning as no credit existed.

    Trump

Did he mentioned how 20 odd yeas ago he turned down the opportunity from his agent to endorse a new fangled grilling machine where all he would just have to put his name to it & couldn't be arsed. so his agent went to someone else on his books and 20 years later George Foreman is £200million...

    President Joseph R Biden

Recent poll her approval rating with US voters is 45%, Trump is 47%, so not as bad as the narrative makes out. No coincidence that after sidelined for most of Biden's term she has become more front & centre in the last month.

Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Yep, is a case of preparing for the worst & hope for the best. If its going to be enough, who knows.

Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Lot of stuff going on at the moment between EU, NATO, US military etc to future proof against what Trump might do when he gets elected. No coincidence aid to Ukraine has been ramped up in the last few months.

    The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

It is where we are and who we can attract, would rather take a punt on someone left field then go for a name like Bruce or Keane who have been put forward by their buddies. Improved both Iceland & Jamica (would ignore Copa to a certain extent as seemingly a lot of unhappy shit between players &...

    2024 General Election Thread

Thats grand in theory. In reality either your in fucking government or not, can't cherry pick. Seen over 10 coalitions, always ends the same. Soon as they signed on dotted line with Cameron they were fucked.

    2024 General Election Thread

That's exactly how coalitions work, smaller party generally gets screwed at the end of its term. Haven't the bulk to withstand unpopular descions or the heft on the media to emphasise the good stuff they do. Bring government down then they get still get punished, as electorate say thats what...

    The Summer 2024 Transfer Thread.

He was very spawny last year when the Saudi money doubled what we expected for Neves, Pep losing his senses & buying Nunes & somehow managing to get back what we spent on Collins. If he gets anything for Silva it will confirm my conviction thst some people no matter how they fuck up are just...

    The Football News Thread 2024/25

Looks like 2028 Euros will have to have a rejig. Announced yesterday Casement Park in Belfast highly unlikely to be ready in time. Only at tender stage now & would have to be completed by summer of 2027 to meet UEFA requirements. That along with government promise of funds has "cooled" along...
