Im sure if we'd have gone 1 0 up it would have been an entirely different game...
But you go ahead and completely ignore that completely hypothetical scenario whilst acknowledging your assurance that another completely hypothetical scenario would play out.
The problems we have are glaringly obvious. At this point it is what it is, there's no point harping on about it.
Ignoring those problems, the performance was okay. Villa may have shaded it overall but had we scored when we should and had they not scored when they shouldn't, then we're looking...
They've just changed the rules. According to UEFA, United and Nice can't play in the same competition next season.
I wonder what'll happen if one drops in to the same competition as the other?
So if English teams do well enough in the co-efficient this season and City or United win the Cup, 8th will get us in the Europa Conference...
However if United finish below Nice in their respective leagues (due to UEFA ownership rules) and Nice quality for the Europa League then United will...
If you swapped the price tags of both Doyle and Guedes, you'd feel you'd slightly overpaid on both, rather than having your pants pulled down on one and being the pants puller on the other.
As bad a deal as Guedes was, the wheeling and dealing when selling Nunes has more than made up for it...
He was carrying an injury, a hand injury? As I recall. Hand injuries though, don't tend to cause the kind of decision making errors he was making.
He's still made some this season, his rushed clearance v Liverpool for instance led to either their equaliser or go ahead goal.
Those errors have...
It still doesn't answer whether I should be cheering Forest on in their fight for survival or cheering them on to relegation?
Although the sell on clause is nominal, so...
"Nuno Nuno Nuno, take 'em to the Champo the Champo the Champo..."
To offer some balance to this thread, here I am!
In fairness to the OP and linked article, Doherty indeed proved that he could do "a job" in the Premier League, now in his 5th or 6th season with a PL badge on his arm.
Thankfully Semedo (who I've been very critical of) has been very good this...
Of course he deserved criticism. I said that criticism was exaggerated to the point he was public enemy number one.
Last season there were numerous positions we were weaker in than GK, was my point.
I always felt the criticism aimed at Sa was exaggerated anyway.
Last season he was far from his best but nowhere near our worst player.
There are several areas I'd want to strengthen before worrying about the GK...
His backup though, needs upgrading.
Oh it was, it was just less bad than what came before. I've just looked, in half a season Hoddle oversaw ten 1 1 draws in 04/05. His first five games ended 1 1!
In 05/06 we had another ten 1 1 draws but over a whole season. Hoddle's whole tenure was sleep inducing.
Had me seriously...
The trouble with Hoddle's first season was that although it was an improvement on what came before, it was also the start of the perpetual 1 1 draw we found ourselves in. Fuck me, was it boring.
