Yep, also I think aside from the goals and assists we look better balanced up front with him there, he's a real presence and his hold up play is decent.
I actually thought Cunha was quite poor yesterday, apart from a couple of instances. It felt to me like if he'd got closer to Larsen we'd have...
I took it to mean Sa was keeping the shirt but most others feel its the opposite.
If Gary puts Johnstone back in cos he thinks he's better than Sa, then he deserves the sack just for that.
If he's being told by the hierarchy he must play Johnstone whatever his form, then Gary should tell them to...
Yeah about that, maybe 15-16 points by the end of the year, with the hope we won't be as bad in the following set of fixtures as we have been so far. I'm not very hopeful.
It's not just the saves, he's better at claiming high balls/coming for crosses. He just gives more confidence to the defence as a whole*
*I know we were playing 8 atb so maybe a false impression.
If you look at the season so far with performances and results you'd say 5 points is the best we'll do from those games. Obviously football doesn't always go that way.
Not sure he has. What ever todays result (barring a massive scoreline) we were always going till at least the Southampton game before pulling the trigger.
Semedo has his fault God knows but he's the best one on one defender at the club. Remind me how many goals we conceded today from Doku or Grealish getting the better of him.
I'm bailing out at this point because Squeak is clearly on the wind up.
Playing that way we might have scraped 1 or 2 points more. If we play that way all season we might scrape some draws or even a few wins, we'll still go down. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
It was fine against City given the context of our season. Against Brighton I'm not against a version of it, say a double pivot with 2 defensive mids and a winger, probably Forbs, but I don't think it's sustainable against the non top 6 teams.
On Sa, I know many on here dislike him and he rightly gets pelters when he does stupid things but within 5 minutes off kick off I already felt more confident with him there than Johnstone.
I think Gomes was angry at the original free kick decision, the following nonsense and also pretty much every time during the game he tried to bring the ball out of defence, multiple City players were clipping him, pulling at him and generally fouling him but he didn't get one decision.
It's an opinion and you're perfectly entitled to it but are you seeing a different player to pretty much every one else on this forum.
The reason Doku wouldn't go past him is because he didn't think he could. Semedo has been poor often this season and rightly got criticised. Semedo was fine in...
Thought for the most part we did well, Cunha was a bit anonymous and RAN gavecthe ball away too easily when he was high up, thought we deserved the point.
I've no idea why Squeak hates Semedo so much, thought it was his best performance of the season, he was so bad Doku was swapped to the other...
I'm surprised so many are unhappy with the first half. Given our form and the way we're set up, what did people expect, a Nuno tactical masterclass? We all know Gary isn't capable of that. All the players have done ok, Gomes and Lemina the best they've been for a while
I know its my Wolves bias...
