Well that's a depressing way to start a day over breakfast. I fear for the 'West' as a whole.

O'Neil In, Out and Shaking it all about

Semedo is a top class fb imo, he's not perfect but for a team in our position, he's as good as we're likely to get. He has his issues no doubt but doubt we'll get better (unless Lima turns out to be star). If that means I lack ambishun, so be it.

Never got round to Wolf Hall, is it worth watching that before the new one?

    The Car Thread

How the other half live eh. He does raise some interesting points about depreciation though. On his bike points, he's completely wrong, modern bikes are chock full of tech, not sure about lane assist I'll have to check but I think it's there. Quite a few already have front and rear radar to help...

    Southampton (H) 9/11: Build-Up & Match Thread

I agree but I've run out of options that can play there that GON will go with.

    Southampton (H) 9/11: Build-Up & Match Thread

Can't play Gomes and Lemina together? That was our midfield for most of last season, especially when we were doing well. They've got to have been told to go wandering up field. Having said that, I'd like Andre in and as Gary doesn't seem to be able to find a way to play all 3, one will have to...

New - The things that really annoy you

The stink of weed is prevalent in loads of places. Even in our middle class, middle of the road, middle England area I often detect it just walking around our neighbourhood. Tbf it's no worse than being enveloped in a cloud of rhubarb and cloudberry vape smoke.

    Relegation 24/25 Thread

That's pretty much what happened to me late 70s and 80s. Although a lot of that was to do with my personal circumstances too. I got drawn back in when my then 8 year old wanted to go to a 'proper match' and also I was excited by Bully. Of course its much easier to watch games from afar now, even...

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

Basically you're disagreeing with the laws, which of course is fine, but the officials have to apply them as they are.

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

On motd, Joe Hart said according to the laws it was a foul, that's good enough for me.

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

Fair enough, that's the problem with watching on TV. On JSL, no issue with him going for the ball but I think he has to do better, more height and distance, he can't be flicking on to the back post. Feels harsh criticising Larsen, hes probably been the only hi-light of the season (small h)

Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

It pains me to say but I think Guedes needs to start against Saints. Sarabia just isn't reliable enough and he clearly doesn't rate young Gomes or Forbs. I'm now going into hiding so DW can't track me down. I suppose Toti can play LB and push RAN further forward, although I think he's better...

The election stealing rhetoric is a bit alarming, being ramped up although being debunked all the time. Feels like he's revving up for a coup if he loses, or at least some civil unrest.

Started drinking in pubs when I was 16, always surprised I got served as I was probably younger looking than my age, could always get served in the Red Lion and Crown in Sedgely, plus the Safari in Dudley. First time I was questioned was on my 18th birthday in Ma Pardoes.

    Live Match Discussion 2024/25

I wouldnt either, but there's a fair chance with var it gets overturned in the modern game, the 3 big lugs around him definitely had an effect but he has to be stronger. Lonwijk has looked OK I think, done his defensive work and gets forward a lot, not terrible on the ball.

    Live Match Discussion 2024/25

Probably would have been ruled out in the Premier league with the pressure on the keeper but he has to be stronger, was excellent on the previous long throw.
