I don't think they care to be honest. They'll give it a half arsed effort while we still have parachute payments coming in and a few good young players hanging around but if we don't go up they'll just kill all costs and run us as a ghost club like Swansea.
It's obviously preferable to them for us to be in the Premier League but it isn't the be all and end all or they wouldn't be managing us in a way that almost guarantees relegation. Every year that we survive is a bonus for them but they're not going to break the bank to prevent relegation.
I don't think they'll throw money at anything, especially if O'Neil is still here. They'll buy a CB but only if Sá goes for a decent amount and they could easily sell someone like Cunha or João Gomes as well. I'd also expect them to offload Sarabia and/or Hwang if O'Neil continues not to use...
He's been waffling for a while now. The shit about the bookies odds was something you'd expect from Dean Saunders.
Telling the whole world that his squad isn't suited to the system he just spent an entire pre season trying to coach... Utterly ludicrous.
I think if they were going to turn on Fosun it would've happened at the start of this season. Maybe it'll happen in February when we're still bottom and we've just spent fuck all in the Jan window but the fans would've turned on O'Neil way before that.
We'll get absolutely rinsed in this one, we don't have the discipline to sit back and hit Liverpool on the break the way that Forest did. They'll score 3 against us at least.
I don't know what O'Neil will do with the starting line up. I'd like to see him get away from inexplicably picking...
I think it's just taken him a long time to adapt to playing without being able to head the ball properly. The fact that he's still doing it in the Premier League at 33 after the injury he had is testament to his class.
Sérgio Conceição.
He's an abhorrent little man but there's no way we lose these kind of games under him. A pure winner and someone who Jorge Mendes might want to give a PL spotlight to.
I can't see them sacking him just yet. It costs money to sack managers and even more to recruit them.
I also don't think they'll be as terrified of relegation as they were when they sacked Lage given some of the profits relegated teams have raised since then.
Boring weddings.
Some weddings are fucking brilliant, some are just painful, dull, lifeless experiences and I've been invited to one of the latter today. Well, I say I've been invited, only half invited really. Turn up for the ceremony at 11:45, fuck off somewhere at 14:00 because we don't want...
