I just wanted to thank everyone again for their assistance earlier this year. We are at the airport about to fly across the pond and my son will be one of the mascot kids for the Bournemouth game on the 30th.
London, Dublin, Edinburgh are all the cities of focus. With tickets, Wolverhampton is set in stone. We'd love to get to the Lake District. It's definitely on the list. So much to do, and so little time (comparatively.)
London, Dublin, Edinburgh are the main points of focus. We already started out research about the "must see" things last night. There more "must sees" than there is time available!!
Unfortunately, we have to get them back for school. We are planning to run ourselves ragged. The only thing that is a "for sure" is Molineux, as the mascot package has already been secured. The rest is a best case scenario, and we will obviously have to edit down.
Thank you so much for all of this information. It is really, really helpful as we attempt to plan our trip (and more importantly our day at Molineux.) Our plan would be to get over to the area of the stadium early to take in some of the match day atmosphere, understanding that we will need to be...
We're making a proper trip of this. We're going to Ireland, Scotland, London, etc.. This is going to be about 12 days over there. We want to see the country, the history, and take in some football. We haven't planned out the sequencing yet, but we want this to be a good time there.
Thank you! And, I have no idea what stand we will be in. I am sure we will miss a portion of the game as we make our way to wherever our seats are from the pre-game "festivities." We're truly excited, our first time in England, and he is getting to take in a home game. The kid is truly...
We thought the same thing about the ticket prices in Jax...absolutely insane. Plus, Jax isn't really a great place to visit (I can say that as someone who lived for 5 years in Florida.)
I know, unfortunately, I am traveling for work, and cannot make either of the games in Maryland or Florida work with our schedule. Going to a home game is a way better trip, as well.
Ok, this is a dumb answer, but we want the "real" experience. To give you (probably) the most American answer ever; we watch Welcome to Wrexham, and the kids thought that the experience at The Turf looked amazing. We're also OK with crowds... we've been in very busy bars before Brewer playoff...
So, thank you all again for the information and advice, especially the Mascot packages. So... I got up at 2:45am (in the states), and purchased the Nov. 30th mascot package for my son. (His birthday is only a couple of days earlier.) We are super excited to travel to England and Molineux later...
A Cup game would be easier to get tickets for, though, right? Just because of the uncertainty of location, opponent, and outcomes...there's no guarantee of moving on, where there is a guarantee that every EPL team will play the same number of home and away matches...
Mel Evo or really anyone,
One last question... Do you become members before the season starts for the next season? In other words, if I signed up now, would that be for the 23/24 season? and if I wait until June, would that be for the 24/25 season? Thank you!
