My biggest regret is flogging my entire metal collection for 20 notes to some dodgy biker at a car boot in the mid-90s. I can't even say that 20 quid was a lot of money back then. I was broke and fed up of lugging them around every time I moved to a new rented place. I'd stopped listening to...
I have an awful lot with practically zero value. Reissues of Joan Baez compilations don't tend to fetch much! God, I have bought some rubbish in charity shops over the years.
My mother-in-law gave me all her Beatles albums years ago. I need to check out how low the number is on the White Album.
Daydream Nation currently on top of my list, followed by Einstürzende Neubauten's Kollaps. The first three Pixies records all do pretty well. Sonic Boom's Spectrum with the fancy moving sleeve is a good one. My promo version of Fear of a Black Planet that I won for completing the Sounds...
His Dark Materials - slightly slow paced but better than last week. And Ruth Watson is basically the psycho character she played in Luther which can only be a good thing.
Yeah, this was excellent. My great uncle, whom I'm named after, died in the Italian campaign so it's good to see it getting a bit of exposure. Those interviews were very moving.
Gossipmongers is very funny. Pretty much just Joe Wilkinson and others reading out local gossip sent in by listeners but better than that sounds.
And Dear Joan and Jericha is back and even more filthy.
Soap On Soap Off - Le Volume Courbe (literally no idea who this is)
Skip Tracer - Sonic Youth
Happy - Mazzy Star
Dirt - Mission of Burma
If I Needed Someone - The Beatles
The Crystal Lake - Grandaddy
April - PJ Harvey, John Parish
What Do I Get? - Buzzcocks
See You At The Movies - J Mascis
Cody...
I agree. A bit clunky but that's often the way with the first episodes.
Series 2 of The End of the Fucking World started last night. Great first episode.
This always amuses me about elections. Incumbent governments always have to run a campaign which basically says "everything is shit, we'll make it better" conveniently ignoring the fact that they've been in charge while things have been going to shit. This applies this time around more than ever.
