Ooh, and make sure they don't give you cockerel by mistake (apparently quite hard to tell when they're young). That happened to our neighbours and they were almost chased out of the street with pitchforks.
We had chickens a few years back. Absolutely destroyed the garden, crapped everywhere and when it got warm, oh my God, the fucking flies!
Aren't there issues around bird flu with letting them out in the garden now?
Our next door neighbours have them in one of the large Eglus...
A long time ago now (2009), but we stayed here https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g293916-d1315544-Reviews-Chatrium_Hotel_Riverside_Bangkok-Bangkok.html
Great location, good value, spectacular breakfast.
The oily look might be naturally occurring due to iron oxide bacteria, which indicates the presence of iron or manganese in the water, or maybe the bacteria from decaying plant matter, not necessarily from pollution. I only know this because I looked into something similar on our bit of the...
Thought I'd pop back on as this is a subject close to my heart (and stomach), spending a lot of time on, and sadly in, the rivers around London. @EpsomWolf here's a handy live map from Thames Water showing the places where untreated sewage and other nice things are currently being discharged...
I don't disagree with your last sentence in the least. Assuming you're still in Epsom, you're just down the road from me (Guildford), so the demographic will be similar. I guess I just know more arseholes than you. (Yes, I'm talking about you, mother-in-law.)
I've had several conversations in the last few days with apparently rational, intelligent people who are only moderately engaged with politics. They watch the 6pm news, pick up a Sunday newspaper occasionally - not on Twitter, don't read news websites all day. They all thought Johnson was doing...
On the subject of REM, I revisted New Adventures in HiFi a while ago. I think it was probably the last REM album I bought as soon as it came out and I kind of forgot about it, having considered them past their peak by then. But actually it's really bloody good with a load of tracks that I'd now...
I think those things are fairly common... my Russian visa application a couple of years ago was full of things like "are you planning or have you ever planned an action designed to bring about the destruction of the Russian state?"
Made the mistake of getting the Letterboxd app. A little bit of random swiping and I'm already up to 1,282 films watched in my life. And i think that probably only scratches the surface. When I think that I have watched quite a few of those more than once, and watch TV more than I watch films....
Yeah, I'm not really one for comic book movies but this was pretty good. Soundtrack was shit and off-putting though. Made a lot of it seem like a dodgy music vid.
