    The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

Possibly bad news for Christian Marques. I can't imagine that being anything more than a kick it, head it defender will go down well with Dunc.

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Ronan is probably the biggest "what if" player of the last few years. If Fosun hadn't come in when they did for us, he'd probably have 250 first team appearances (in the Championship, granted) by now.

    Wolves Women Thread

I've had another one of those weeks, so haven't had chance to update this before now. Due to the FAWNL being.... not the most organised people on the planet, Wolves Women actually played a league game last Sunday with a grand total of 5 (yes, FIVE) day's notice. That's one thing when you...

    Wolves memorabilia you own?

I own a pretty much perfect copy of the Honved game programmes that I randomly found a couple of years ago in an antiques shop in Northampton; I instantly bought it along with the Red Banner programme from the same year. They clearly didn't know the importance of that game at all - IIRC they...

It's a mystery worthy of Steve Barnes.

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Who should we have signed this summer if we had to pick one, Guedes or Trincao? Shockingly, I think Trincao might have been the better option, but then I've always been a fan of being shot rather than burned at the stake.

    Wolves Women Thread

Last night whilst most of us had our attention at Molineux, the women's first team played away at Boldmere St Michaels in the County Cup. It ended in a hard-fought 3-1 victory after Beth Merrick had been sent off in the first half for handball in the area. Our goals came from Amy Dicken, Maz...

    Wolves Women Thread

So, the FA Cup game against everyone's big spenders who think they should just be parachuted into the WSL because they're just too rich to bother with silly things that legacy fans like to call "getting promoted through winning divisions". Yes, that trip to Newcastle United, which despite the...

The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Because, you know, that's how judging two sides often works. I'm also finding it odd that you're focussing on this when I also said that the two penalties were correctly given. Neither England penalty prevented a good quality open play chance. So, I ask again, were Portugal the better side...

The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Not at all - I was simply saying that in my opinion, France created the better chances from open play, and they certainly put theirs away better. Whilst both England penalties were clearly the correct decision to be given, the fact that they were given skews the xG compared with open play...

The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

As Wolves fans, I would have thought we would all be used to the idea that pretty possession etc does not football matches win. Presumably everyone also thinks that Portugal were the better side against Morocco for the same reasons?

The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

So you're all desperately claiming that England were the better side??? Remind me again how many clear chances and goals they created from open play again compared to France? Don't get me wrong, there wasn't a huge difference between the two sides, but why let reality get in the way?

The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

There's been a number of comments in the last couple of pages about a "lack of culture" etc. That's what I mean. In many cases, I'm sure it's unconscious, but it's still there. In other cases, it's overt and celebrated. I'm sure we can all think of a poster on here for whom it's the latter.

As a Welshman, you can get in the sea with that one. I don't mind the occasional thing (like the Lions in rugby), but no, no, and utterly no. There's enough problems with English Imperialism as it is. Remember that the old Home Internationals is the oldest international competition in the...
