I think their heads are pretty big from my experience. 20 years out of the top flight in recent times kills it for me, and their honours are no more impressive than ours, but there are arguments for both sides. Don't think it's definitive though
Leeds aren't a bigger club than us, and plenty of teams have been in auto promotion slots pre-Christmas and then ended up shitting the bed in the play offs before the season is out
I think it would need some genuine old school engagement from the Left to work, and an understanding of the community involved and their concerns...often the money in their pockets or fears of immigration...and they would need to be listened to.
Even then, I feel it would be an uphill struggle...
I think we tend to vastly underestimate the draw of conservatism in many electorates across the world.
Lots of people seemingly voting for Trump not necessarily as a personality, but as a way of voicing disagreement with economic/social orthodoxy represented by the Democrats and all their star...
Maybe not, I think I'm gonna cat nap through it and see how it goes though. Love a bit of Maitlis so I'll try and stay on C4 but Spicer and BoJo making it hard...
I agree the recruitment has been poor, and focussed on the wrong areas, or with a profile that's not going to help us this season, but there's still a competitive team to be forged from the squad we have, however unbalanced it is
Shall we sack all the players then?
Even if the recruitment had been spot on, GON hasn't shown he can be trusted to manage resources to the required standard. He can't win games.
He's probably right.
West Ham fans/crowd much more aggy/demanding/expectant than Wolves currently?
O'Neil (and the club) getting a pretty easy ride from our fans as well as the media
