I don't think that's true - from personal experience I can think of plenty of people who've said a bunch of racist things without ever hearing them say anything even vaguely patriotic outside of sports.

Not sure I agree. People can hate what/who is different without, necessarily loving themselves or those that are the same. Not sure I would pin anyone I know as a patriot as such, not overtly at least, but I definitely know people with plenty of racist stuff to say.

Forest and Derby are the only true rivals up here form what I've seen, unless you want to drop down the leagues and take in some Mansfield/Chesterfield hate that apparently tracks back to the miners strikes. Think there's too much distance between the others for there to be any great intensity...

Anecdotal but from my last two jobs there's more going on with prisons than schools. Added complication with sex crimes I suppose because they have separate facilities but both my last two employers have/are building extra cells in sex offender prisons - not the quickest things to throw up...
