    Coronavirus

We're exactly on the same page . . . what has emerged these last 2 years here in Oz is nothing short of shameful. I am so angry about it all.

    Coronavirus

Melbourne now . . . spent most of my high school and uni years at Auckland. My mum and sister (and her family) still live in Auckland, and I would visit 2-3 times a year (pre-COVID).

    Coronavirus

Well if she turned up at my house she’s have to go outside to go to the toilet. She’s a virtuous piece of shit whose govt. has achieved tiddly squat since they were elected 4-5 years ago. Talks a good game but actually fails to deliver on almost everything they announce.

    The R.I.P. Thread

Top player saw him play for both Arsenal and Liverpool. At Arsenal he was a good striker in partnership with John Radford. When he went to Liverpool he was converted into an attacking midfielder - won a few caps for England as well. RIP.

    Nuno to leave Wolves

And of course, unlike most promoted sides, we didn’t have a second season fall off. Quite amazing given we had the Europa League to contend with, which, unlike so many other clubs, we actually gave it serious attention. 2 consecutive 7th place finishes for a newly promoted club in todays...

Wolves 1-0 West Ham: Verdict Thread

Well the last 3 games have been interesting against 3 good teams . . . 2 outstanding performance and a shit one . . . I just hope we‘re on our game against Norwich.

    The Bruno Lage Appreciation Thread

I had never heard of Bruno before we were linked with him - one of the disadvantages in residing in Oz. The opinions of many here, who I respect, saw it as a very meh appoinment. But so far he has done very well, without any real backing in the transfer market - ie improving the team with what...

    The R.I.P. Thread

John Sewell, former captain of Crystal Palace has passed away. A very tidy player in the 60s and early 70s - saw him play a number of times . . . RIP.

    Nuno to leave Wolves

I'm of the view that Nuno, and to some extent, Wolves, were badly derailed by COVID and the impact it had on the 2019/20 season. The extension of the 2019/20 season where the club played 59 competitive games from July 25th, 2019 to August 11th, 2020 totally exhausted Nuno and the players both...

    RIP Ron Flowers

He played before my time, but his record is such that he probably sits second to Billy Wright as Wolves greatest playing legend. I did meet him once . . . My dad was playing at the Oxley golf course in a club tournament and I was his caddy (I was 10 or 11) and in the afternoon round dad was...

Gutted . . . a true legend of the club and also for England. RIP !

    The Film Thread

A shameless plug for my YouTube channel ! ! ! Well as a distraction from our last Melbourne lockdown I’ve set up and worked on my own YouTube channel, although it’s not for making money, probably more to do with self-satisfaction and ego more than anything else. I have been uploading movie...

    Climate Change Debate

Bjorn Lomborg is a rare voice of reason in a world that has gone insane with climate change politics. Personally, I very much doubt the whole hypothesis of climate change, but Mr. Lomborg has always promoted a rationale and pragmatic way forward that would not bankrupt the Western world's economy.

    Site problem

I’m an Apple/Safari user and the loading of the site was often hit and miss . . . However . . . In the last couple of months there’s been no issue at all. Kudos to you all !

    Wolves 2-1 Everton: Verdict Thread

Our best performance (well the 1st half anyway) which got us a win since before COVID struck ! Although it was a bit nervy when Everton pulled one back they only had one real chance from the corner which Sa saved excellently. I just wish Sa would cut out being a dick with the ball at his feet...

    Coronavirus

Good luck . . . I'd only risk NSW. For the foreseeable future we'll only be travelling within our state Victoria (once we're allowed out of Melbourne) - I just don't trust the state premiers (apart from NSW). You might be able to catch up on a couple of Ashes test matches as well.
