What are your thoughts folks for the Gold Cup and the World Hurdle? For me, Silviniaco Conti in the Gold Cup (thought he would have won last year), and More Of That (if he runs - JP has At Fisher's Cross as well).

Can there ever be another Dawn Run? She's very exciting that's for sure! Want her to run in the Stayers' for selfish reasons, think she'd be a danger to Our Conor! I'd be more worried about her than Hurricane Fly,, think OC will appreciate better ground and HF is much better at Leopardstown...

So Knockara Beau had a wind operation... might not be reason for dramatic improvement, but I do wish this sort of info had to be made public to everyone. Getting all excited already for Cheltenham, really fancy Our Conor for Champion Hurdle. For those of you of a certain age, he reminds me so...

So sad to hear St Nic lost his brave fight for life, especially as I thought he was over the worst of it.

I've always loved Dandino, somehow can't see him winning? Would love to see it though, he's so consistent. I think I'll back Simenon - also a little each-way on my old friend Red Cadeaux!

Really enjoyed the Breeder's Cup, could not believe Dank won after pulling so hard. Incredible run from Magician, didn't think he'd stay being out of a Mozart mare, but he flew home. Pity I'd forgotten how brilliant he was in the Irish Guineas! Hope he stays in training, could be anything. Shame...

Spoilt Princesses moaning about Media Coverage of Wolves

Exits, thanks for the posts, some interesting articles. You are talking too much sense for some people, that's why this country is on a downward spiral and has been for many years. Goodnight all!

Heard they hope Faugheen is the one to take over Hurricane Fly's mantle. Mullins has such a fantastic array of talent, think Ruby knew what he was doing!

Well, that will be interesting. Glad for the horse!

I might be wrong, but didn't Rock On Ruby vastly improve for the fitting of blinkers, don't think he wore them on Sunday? I shall have to see Our Conor lose over hurdles before I'll desert him, the memory of him winning at Cheltenham will stay in the memory for a very long time!! Reminded me of...

That's great news Nando, many thanks. Such a shame about Countrywide Flame, thought he might have had a good season.

Wonder how Pique Sous is doing? Last I heard he was fighting for his life after colic. Hope he pulls through, very promising horse. Think half-brother to Pancake.

Sea The Stars is a very promising sire imo. Had a debut winner yesterday at Leicester (Bold Lass), half-sister to My Emma, out of My Branch. 12-1 !!

Thanks for this Nando, great stuff. Can't wait for National Hunt season to start properly! Much prefer NH to Flat these days.

Just checked and Ollie Magern is by Alderbrook, not Oscar, so apologies, but that makes my doubts about the durability and longevity of Oscar's stock even stronger! Even so, was very disappointed with Peddler's Cross last season, hope he comes back to his previous form. Tidal Bay is such an...

Top man Nando thanks for sharing all of this. Will be very interesting to see what sort of season Nicholls has, especially without Ruby. I really wish that trainers had to declare when a horse is running after having had a breathing op. Bit like on the Flat, I wish trainers had to declare when...

Not been to any tracks in Ireland or South-East, but my vote goes to NH - Taunton (great atmosphere, don't have to walk miles as paddock doubles as unsaddling) - Aintree close 2nd Flat - not been to many, but enjoyed Warwick (used to like Wolverhampton before they changed from Fibresand) I...

All of this doping scandal will do untold harm for the image of racing. Still can't believe it - Monterosso winning in Dubai, Rewilding at Royal Ascot, Blue Bunting, Certify - were they all clean? Most shocking of all - Encke, denying Camelot the Triple Crown! I have spoken to folk who only take...

Shocking. Feel very sorry for the ante=post punters who had Certify. They should surely get their money back. Punchestown tomorrow, can't wait to see Sprinter Sacre. My only bet tomorrow will be Moyle Park in the 6.05 - good luck to all having a bet!

Agree with everything you say Donegal (apologies for typo, obviously meant Channel 4! Got this weird virus at mo, sore throat turned to cold and bronchitis - can't concentrate - anyway I digress) Appalled at BBC with their disgraceful neglect of horse racing - they are Lefties who misguidedly...
