Things that make you SAD thread.

Sorry mate. Over reaction on my part. I lost my mum to cancer recently. It was mercifully swift but nonetheless devastating. But you're wrong, I think. Victims want retribution.

Things that make you SAD thread.

Ok , I won't lie (anymore because the last one was) I've never ended an animal's life because I have no right to do so. There's so much lazy opinion on this site.

Things that make you SAD thread.

Difficult one emotionally. One of my cats contracted diabetes. Chronic illness which affects the animal in a number of ways. So I shot it in the head with an air pistol. I agree WH and PPB, sometimes you must be cruel to be kind.

The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Drink anything with anything. But giving a Yorkshire man (or woman) a decent glass of wine is like giving a donkey strawberries.

    Another I-Pod shuffle thread

Hello friends!! Lol. Hiding. Morrissey is on Twitter. My advice is only to compliment him in the guise of an egg. #troll though I'm not sure he's a confirmed bender? Any road up pop pickers here's my mp3 device ten on the bounce: 1. Bad Day REM (x 74ish?) 2. Symphony no. 3 Henryk Gorecki...

    A jolly good read?

Having just read the last page on 'Things that really annoy you' I would recommend 'Street on Torts'. It's a bit turgid but the chapter on defamation might be useful.

Because? My point is that I would prefer to listen to Mozart's work than anything I have seen on this thread. And Morrissey and Heaton have been successful on a similar MO to Mozart ( sinister lyrics on a background of infectious melody). Then, if ( as I think it is) music is judged on its...

Yes, I agree 100% but despite a 240 year head start I'm afraid Wolfgang is woefully short in the popularity stakes. And after all music is necessarily subjectively judged which leaves him chasing the pack. I referenced two pieces of music earlier which blow anything else on this thread out of...

Fair point Paul. Far more people listen to Morrisey and Heaton's work than Mozart's I would guess.

Duettino Sull Aria, Marriage of Figaro. It's an iPod and thread stopper. What's interesting about this piece and the equally sublime 'Porgi Amour' is the deliciously melodic harmonies juxtaposed with a very negative theme, infidelity. It occurred to me that this sinister musical juxtaposition is...
