Bellend commentators

2009/10 season was very poor, likes of Hull, Burnley in the league combined with Pulis Stoke and us playing some grim stuff.
The ghost ship that was Pompey too

Didn’t we have a famously appalling 0-0 against the clay heads?

Was on my birthday no less. 0-0 on April 11 2010.

It's actually not even the worst 0-0 vs Stoke I've ever seen from Wolves.

I flew over for that, I think it cost me about £300 for flights, beer and accommodation. To watch Rory Delap and Wardy slinging long throws in. A game that made me seriously consider if spending the money attending could really be justified. 🙄

His new job isn't even a coaching role is it. Just working for Red Bull

Nope. Basically the sporting equivalent of when an ex-Prime Minister gets a non-executive directorship at a big company. Just there because their name helps the brand.

Got to move with the times man

Adrian Durham has ranked us as the second worst ground in the PL saying he can’t warm to it. Whilst I don’t think it’s second worst I don’t particularly like our ground. The BW and SB still to far from the pitch, plus the weird shape, to many open spaces and the SC looks out of place to the rest of the ground plus the fact it’s looking very tired.

It's definitely not second worst though. Selhurst and Goodison are relics (Selhurst is in an objectively shite part of London too), Dean Court is a League Two ground, the London Stadium is an athletics stadium badly repurposed with a shopping centre as the nearby "attraction", while I struggle to believe there's a huge amount of love from anyone towards St Mary's. The King Power is completely nondescript but it is at least in a reasonable location relative to Leicester City Centre.

He got belted at our place in the 80s and has hated us ever since.

To be fair his lists are a bit odd I mean his favourite is QPR which is a dump.
I do agree with him as visiting our ground as a neutral or away fan I’d see it as a poor experience. Bizarrely I’ve never warmed to our ground from the 80’s and only the sides open to the quick rebuild in the early 90’s which I thought was ok but not as good as some raved about. As said now it all looks a bit of a mishmash.
As a historical location I’ll always warm to it but I don’t think those thatve tried to rebuild it since the late 70’s have done a good job.

The shape of the John Ireland was a disaster to begin with, I’ve never understood that curved design. The balls up with the BW mirroring it was even bigger. Then having a quarter of a vanity project in place just makes the whole thing look ridiculously shit. It’ll be like that for years and years to come though now, nobody is going to plough money into knocking any of it down and rebuilding it in the foreseeable.

The “Wolverhampton is a shithole” is blurring his opinion however.
Yep I won’t pretend Wolverhampton is a utopian place to live but funnily enough he’s probably only singled out Wolverhampton out of all his grounds he’s evaluated.
Very cheap and easy dig really as he knows full well Wolves fans will just take it.

Site lines, the Waterloi Road stand was similar.
