Whether the punishment fits the crime is a fair comment. However by the rules it’s a red card. So I’m not really sure what they’re hoping to gain from the appeal.
Arguing whether the rule is correct is a different discussion, but in its current guise it’s a red card.
It’s not beyond the wit of man he’s gone to grab a shirt is the point. Not going to agree and anyhow we both agree it’s a red card.
When they fail the appeal, does he get a game added on is that not a thing?
I don’t think anyone is disputing that? You’re missing the point. He’s clearly pulled his hair no one is disagreeing.
I’m saying it may not be pre meditated like some are suggesting.
By that definition every contact and action is deliberate
This is what I was saying after it. He could quite easily have been challenging for the ball, went the grab shirt and hair is there instead. I find it unlikely he thought ‘I’m going to challenge here and have his dreds a good old pull’
This is all immaterial as the rules and the rules, and it...
Thought we were poor first half, created nothing. Bit unfortunate on the goal but it’s a poor defensive header and easy 2nd ball for them.
Much better 2nd half. Good goal. Some positives there for rest of season. Would’ve been another win if wasn’t for top save by Pickford at end
Could quite easily have been trying to pull his shirt, but the rules are the rules.
Funny though - couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke. Keane that is, not Tolu!
